So does anyone know the best way to get the requisite number of, err, burning mysteries? Running the numbers, it looks like it would take about 3450 actions with the fidgeting writer, plus another 2500 echoes worth of supplies. This would take a bit longer than getting an overgoat. Hunter’s Keep would take a whopping 10400 actions assuming a 20% rare success rate. I don’t know what the success rate is when trading scraps with Revolutionaries, but I’m guessing that that’s pretty inefficient unless you get really lucky.
There’s a new option in the University you might want to check out.

So that means one takes about 104 echoes worth of Incunabulum, which is around 94 actions by doing the affair with the box plus conversions. Still not as good as the writer, but probably less aggravating.
And some other person got 5 according to the wiki. I think the reward may vary.
I’m not sure about the math, but the Rare success on converting Thirsty Bombazine Scraps into Puzzle-Damask (option: The Marred Mercer will happily take your Bombazine) gives 5, pluse the Damask, at the cost of some Connected:Revolutionaries.

It seems that the numerical seven is blocked. The censors only seem to apply to posts in afflicted threads, so at least we won’t have to worry about it for the most part.
Can I edit the number in and have it go through? Apparently so! Now I’ll just edit it back out before I upset anyone.

Hm. In the Discworld wizards had a marginally similar problem with the number eight. They usually referred it as “4 and 4” or “2 times 4” or the like. Of course, being 4+3 a prime number, multiplications won’t do in this case ^^"
