By progress 50, you’re robbing them Arsene Lupin style - just lowering everything they own out the windows with a team of removalists and a waiting barge.
Ok… I am going to need to ask that someone please explain what in the Neath is going on here. I keep trying to read the past posts but all I see is talk of Lonrflukes and storylets I cannot find. Is there anything to be found after reaching Making Waves Quality and Nightmare 5 before October 24th? I’ll post the instructions for such on the first post for newcomers to see.

Near as I can tell no, there’s nothing else to be found prior to the 24th.
That being said it might be worth it to work on getting your Putting the Pieces Together: the Drownies up prior to.
Just to clarify, have you been to your lodgings recently?
If your Nightmares are less than 7 and your Making Waves is less than 11, there should be a new storylet available at your lodgings.
There are several options; which you see depends on your Airs of London quality. You can reroll it by robbing drunks in Spite.
The storylet still shows up if your Making Waves is above 11 now, but most of the options are locked.
Interesting, I have been looking on my Lodgings and the Hallowmas thing from time to time but have seen nothing about any Drownies. I did see a fate option once but let that pass by.

Teeheheheheheheheeeee!
Hee.
I am inordinately pleased. Did you get yours, Owen?
The time approaches slowly. Hopefully Time the Healer won’t come about on the 23rd at 11pm or something of that sort

… I’m stuck sitting and pulling cards. I may not have bought enough helpful things to last there long enough to find the wench. Is it at a certain level of burglar’s process, or do I just have to get lucky. (Am in mid-20s, but running out of cat-like, despite using a fate option.)

It took me five long heists (all going up to 20-30 and three days of drawing cards until i finally got the maid. Then I got her three times within an hour…There are no restrictions to draw it…it’s just a matter of luck.

Yay!
Merely a post of frustration.
How long will it take until this weeping maid turns up!? I feel like I have seen every other card! Not being able to discard makes this particularly grueling. :(
If you still have buckets of lacre saved up you can use them to dump them in the River; it’ll reduce nightmares and sometimes give Putting the Pieces Together; The Drownies
(this isn’t a new hallowmas option or anything just a thing you’ve always been able to do with lacre, but maybe someone somewhere will find it helpful. maybe.)
It only took me a few hours just now, on my first heist ever. And if I hadn’t tried to knock out the nosy servant I could’ve gotten out with the glim too! But the wikia entry for failing to take out that servant was empty, so it seemed like a win-win to me: Either I knock him out and keep my escape route, or I get to add to all that information that made it possible for me to succeed in the first place. At least I didn’t go to jail! (But I was prepared for that too. I read a post about someone losing all his saved up money, and just in case that happens every time one goes to jail, I spent every last penny.)
I’m pretty sure going to jail doesn’t cost any money. Though perhaps that’s changed since I became connected enough politically to avoid such nuisances.
It might’ve been a result of obtaining a Memory of Chains.
An opportunity card for the event is already available, although for some reason my computer refused to save the image with the options so I could only write down the description and the results from the first one, the others are different characters and won’t be available until the 24th.
There are two that unlock at Nightmares 1 (Rubbery Man and Tomb-Colonist fishmonger); then four more at Nightmares 5 (Special Constable, guy-with-hook, undertaker-with-eyepatch and Navy Lieutenant). The card states that they’ll all unlock sometime on the 24th; in the meantime one can instead opt for a bundle of oddities.
