I think the progression should still be:
well → get candle → rat book → well again → various cards → well again → ???
I don’t think that’s changed.
Also! I think I’ll use this post as an opportunity to point out that I’ve been noting down random tidbits of ideas during my long, dull bus journeys. Maybe I’ll commit some of them to the game this weekend! Maybe in a few months! Maybe never! excitement

Hnnnn. Can’t figure out how to get unrepentant- the only clue is “tyrant”. And the crown’s message about ten million rats and the storage zone but I’ve already BEEN THERE.
I do hope I don’t need ten million royal rats because that’s twenty actions worth. bleh.
You need a Billion Rat for that. You make a Billion Rat by accumulating 999999999 rats.
A billion rat is also the key to getting to the very endgame content, once you reach it you’ll be making millions of rats everywhere
The crown’s message is really outdated, I changed some numbers around but I forgot to change that line of text. I’ll fix that! Eventually! Not right now because I’m about to go to bed but eventually
seriously though get a billion rats to proceed (use the Heart for maximum efficiency), one of the things im working on right now is something like the hint shop from earthbound so there’s a bit more direction to this stuff

Thanks to Kruegher, I have escaped the Hell Zone! May his days be merry and filled with rats, and may he trip over many a rat while exiting buildings.
So, I’ve noticed something interesting with the gambling! Gamblerats are not capped at 999,999,999! Ware those who win more than that, because you get precisely 0 rats back upon cashing out. Well, I ended up with 0. I’m not sure how you’d honestly end up with that many gamblerats without double-or-nothing everything you own.
Edit: And then, when I would gain a normal rat, I gained 250 million of them. Which makes (sort of?) sense, given that I cashed out at 1.25 billion gamblerats.[li]
Edit 2: And THOSE rats promptly ceased to exist as soon as I gained MORE rats. Though it seems that matters have now stabilized. Is it wrong that I’m mildly disappointed by that?

Ah, rat chaos, part of that great genre of totally insane Twine games. And an entire city of rats!
As it happens I too have relocated to a somewhat warmer climate. Ordinarily I’d enjoy the change in weather, but there just isn’t a decent supply of rats here. I’d be quite grateful for any assistance in making the return journey.
Edit: And I’ve made my escape, thanks to Mercer and Hinter Dem Glas. That well knows better than to bother me any more, too.

If you get stuck in the Hell Zone, eating the candle still sends you to the Jail Zone.
I think this isn’t supposed to happen, as well cards are now completely broken for me ._.[li][/li]
