Rat Sending Simulator 2015

The menace begone card for debt doesn’t work. It quite literally does nothing.

EDIT: Random question, is the heart of the rat zone you get from god shack any different form the normal one? Do you get two? Or is it persistent?
edited by Knyx on 8/15/2013

Ratscension cost has been increased to 2 bullions, or does that just go up with current ratscension?

Also, why does first step of arcane ritual go back to “go to rat storage” card, but all futher steps go “home”?

Whoops, i forgot to link the social act to the storylet. Fixed.
The heart from the Shack is exactly the same as the one from the Storage Zone. However, I have an Idea for a thing that might let you carry a Heart with you across ascensions.

The cost is 1 + ([q:Avarat of God] * 0.1): decimal points get rounded up past 0.5, so from your fifth ascension on it starts costing 2 Billion Rats, from the 15th it starts costing 3 and so on.

OK. 6 - pantheon, 6 hours. I am getting less bad.

Normal rats and fancy brews do not appear to be categorized in anything.

Whoops, i knew I’d miss a few items. Fixed.

Also if you just played the slot-granting storylet you’re gonna have to play it /again/ because i goofed up and made it give one of the wrong slots. Whoops!

Intrigued. Feel free to engage me. Sterling R Norvegicus.

Okay so here it is: Quick ascending like a crazy rat: the guide!
For starters let’s assume you are a fresh god with only 1 in avarat quality.
The very first thing you will notice is a new type of rat you got on character creation. Those will become important later. The second thing is an inclusion of an all-new deck of cards which can be used to great effect. Let’s talk about the card you can see there.

  1. Bees: gives you a few(5-18) bees for 100 holy rats.
  2. Eggs: gives you a few(1-8) eggs for 1000 holy rats.
  3. Augmentation: An option to improve you circuitry up to level 5 for holy rats. Also allows you to produce 10 000*circ.level holy rats.
  4. God antics: 2 options. 1 gives you some crime some rats and makes you lose a few( less than 10 000) holy rats. option 2 gives you 100 000-600 000 holy rats.
  5. God of Fanciness: 2 options. 1: gives you some fanciness free of charge 2: gives you almost a level worth of fanciness for 20 000 holy rats
  6. Godly will: gives you rats, royal rats, holy rats, rat points and fanciness for nothing. Rat points go from 18 000 to 800 000 and everything else doesn’t break 50 000.
  7. Godly dice. Allows you to get (1-your current amount) of any kind of rat or fanciness(in CP not levels). Yes that means you can double your rats in 1 action.
  8. Convert: Convert rats into holy rats. Don’t, Just don’t.
These are the basic card of god deck and will be available to you from the start.

Up next: Conditional cards!

  1. Get a rat crown. Allows you to try a luck check a holy rat check or a luck check to instantly get a rat crown. if you bothered with circuitry 7 on your last ascension the check will be negligible. Does not appear if you have a rat crown.
  2. God cooking 3 options. 1: gives you a bunch of brews of most kind except bee and fancy. Those are rare. 2. Makes a holy brew for a chunk of holy rats. This brew is very helpful to(non-existant) hell-zoners. Option 3 is irrelevant. This card only appears when you have a chef hat equipped.
  3. Absolve your sins: Removes approximately 2 crime levels. Only appears if you have any crime.
  4. Contamination!: Only appears if BEES. BEES BEES BEES BEES BEES BEES BEES BEES BEES BEES BEES.
  5. Make a billion rat. A luck check that on failure gives you 0-1 billion rats and on success gives you 0-2. Consumes 250 000 000 rats anyway, This card only appears if you have 250 000 000 rats.

Additionally if you have at least 10 000 holy rats(get some more) you can access the god zone! i will not list the options available there but they all revolve around giving away your items to get god points.
God points can be redeemed for cool items of which only 1 pertains to speed ascending-the bee vortex. Since i don’t have it and the benevolent game creator(may he choke on a rat) will not gift me one i can’t say how good it is.

As a speed-ascender your goal is simple

  1. get a billion rat(2 starting on avarat 5 and 3 on avarat 15)
  2. Get a heart of rat zone.

This step by step guide will show you a fairly effective way to go about it.

  1. Crush your fancy gems. Draw cards from god deck-your goal is rat crown 500 000 rat points and 30 000 holy rats. This can be done in as little as 1 action if you are very lucky.
  2. Go to god zone- get a manifestation card and use it. You should have 3 horrendous brews. IF you don’t draw a few more.
  3. Leave god zone: trade rat points for rats. Trade 100 god points for a random bunch of items.
  4. Get a chef hat-a single god will card should suffice.
  5. Equip your hat and draw cards. Trade any points into rats and collect bee brews. You should be ALWAYS rolling rat on any dice.
  6. By now you should be running out of your 20 actions: drink 2 bee brews(hope you got those from cooking)
  7. This will add Contamination to your deck: when you see it make sure to BEES BEES BEES BEES BEES BEES BEES BEES.
  8. Get about 400 000 000 rats: start trying to make a billion rat. You need 1 or 2 so a couple of successes will suffice. Remember that you can break your billion rat and fund 4 attempts to create a new one which is VERY likely to work. If you run out of actions: brew. You can only brew up to 5 poison and after poison 3 you will need at least 3 stored actions, so thread carefully.
  9. Open a portal to rat zone: get the heart
  10. Wish for whatever: normally you can wish for fancy but it gives less that 50 CP so yeah
  11. Ascend!

This can be done in a single sweep: no waiting at all but you may need 1 20-action refresh if you are unlucky.

I get the geart first (need only 100M rats or so to get there comfortably), then use it for rats, then use those rats to get billion rats. Reratscending is possible even with cooldown.

Also, I haven’t seen iron RATions yet …

In further &quotDumb cosmetic changes that don’t really add anything to gameplay but look nice&quot news: There’s a new pinned storylet available! Visit the Emblem Emporium to get yourself a fancy new emblem. There are currently 15 different Emblems. I might add more if anyone particularly wants to have a different sort of picture in the top left hand corner of their screen. I dunno! Enjoy emblems responsibly.

Get your own Bee Vortex <0>

In further &quotNew Things&quot news: You can now buy a Compressor at the God Shack. It’s expensive! But it lets you turn things into Gems, which are persistent items that carry over across ascensions!

God points are pretty great for speed ascending actually. Get a bunch of god points to start out, then when you ascend, use them to buy a heart of the rat zone on your first turn. Use the ratzone heart to get 777 million rats your second turn, and then get two or so billion rats on your third turn. You now have 15ish turns to mess around and make bee brews, get more holy rats and to sell them for enough god points to start your next ascension with a heart of the rat zone. My last god point grind got me 6 levels of avarat before I ran out of points.

Granted the ratzone heart purchase is a luck challenge, but it gets easier the higher your god level is. I’m at avarat level 17 now and haven’t failed the heart purchase yet. Its a very good deal, I highly recommend it.

Another item of note, grinding god points is a bit time consuming if you don’t have a friend in stuck in the hell zone. Hell zone rescues give mad god points. If you can, consider convincing a friend to go to hell zone and staying there so you can get all the god points all of them.

how long is it until someone posts an action-by-action account of the single most efficient way to achieve maximum godhood as fast as possible
i think that might be the day i fall over and die

I am finding that getting up to 5k god points per action is a very very very slow way to get anything >_>

Hm, I suppose that’s true. While you can grind very fast once you have a ton of god points, getting them in the first place is a real challenge. So much so that it might not be worth it after all.

This compressor seems to embody the concept of what I was trying to do with god points a little more efficiently in that it gives you persistent grind benefits but at a much higher rate. However, the action costs to compress are very high. Thats not too bad when you are compressing something useful like a rat zone heart. I do kind of wish you could pick and choose what to decompress rather than it decompressing everything at once, but its not a bad system. I can work around it.

But I am imagining compressing a rat heart, getting rats, then recompressing it and grabbing a new heart for use for ascension. Ah, but the compression action costs are quite high. Would it work? Hard to say without giving it a try.

Hello.
I don’t recall being anything more than a King, but somehow the God card was an option in jail…

Billion rats give around 50k, but the card doesn’t come up very often.
I had 30 bullions before my first ratscension. Maybe I should have converted them all.
Or not bought godly equipment, what’s +30 when you already have 350?

ETA: ohright - record ratscension time. <- 7 rat-ntheon (had to go to sleep)

Not-a-bug: There is no Emblem for having 1 (or 7) St. Ratise’s Candles. (Or is there? I only have one Candle so far)

[quote=babelfishwars]Hello.

Whoops, i, uh, left that option KoD locked for like a week without realising it. And then i removed the lock without properly adding the right unlock requirement to it. I’m the smartest!

i’ve been fiddling with the numbers on things a bit to make them less terrible, but there is a heavy degree of randomisation involved (the formula for giving god points is basically a tenth of the holy rats plus a random number up to half the number of holy rats required.)
(Previously, it was one tenth to one hundredth of the holy rats required plus a random number about a fifth of the holy rats required. this new formula should be more generous. Perhaps even too generous! please tell me if you think getting god points is too easy now)

The reason it decompresses everything at once is because i couldn’t really think of a good reason why you’d want to just decompress one thing at a time. I also didn’t want to write out another seven branches, one for each individual item :v i mean if you really want to selectively decompress then i can add that, i guess

There is now!

Each bit of godly equipment now has a bonus effect! Maybe they’ll be useful, maybe not.

Also: new expensive god shack thing. Ought to come in useful for something, for somebody, somewhere.
edited by Spacemarine9 on 8/16/2013

At least two of them are. How much ratiation is too much anyway? I never even reached 30 and haven’t seen anything bad.

Probably extremely useful, eventually.

50 ratiation is Too Much Ratiation: its kind of difficult to get it balanced right between &quotreally easy to hit max ratiation&quot and &quotreally hard&quot: the first draft of the Storage Zone made it almost impossible to get to the end if you didn’t have like half a million rats. It might be too easy now, i think only 100k rats are needed to nullify almost all bonus ratiation in there
its definitely a thing that might need a degree of tweaking.
