If a thing ever says “{item} remains unchanged, at {number}” then it doesn’t mean you’ve hit a cap, it just means that the storylet could have given you a thing but didn’t.
The god option for making a billion rat works like this: it’s a quarter of the price of a regular billion rat, and it has a luck check: on success, you get either 0, 1 or 2 billion rats (so you have like a 66% chance of getting a rat, i guess), and failure gives either 0 or 1 rat (so it’s 50/50)
i’ve been tweaking that card a fair bit b/c i don’t want it to be guaranteed billion rats every time but at the same time i’d rather it didn’t feel like you were tossing rats into a doom abyss
While you are at it consider making it so gods can visit hell zone with no repercussions( no losing all my stuff because i want to destroy the wells again) at some hefty cost. it can be an item a quality or an one-time option but i want to have one~
I already added that! You only lose your rats upon going to Hell Zone, and you get an option to get yourself out without relying on anyone else.
When you say rats you mean like rats or royal and holy ones too? How about billion ones?

Rats. i.e. the common or garden rat. the vanilla flavour rt. the Ur-rat.
Just the plain sort. Not any of the more exotic brands of rat.

Well, I didn’t heed the (many) warnings, and got myself trapped in the Hell Zone without the apparantly important crown. Hooray!
And Spacemarine9 was ever so kind to tell me that this thread existed when I kept sending him the lone rats I was able to scavenge (and the single surviving rat whenever a grant kicked in)
Now… what name did I use for Rat Simulator? Was it Rittle? Or something less silly…?

I think I had the option to “re-ascend” even before ascending for the first time, that probably shouldn’t have been possible…

It seems that I can equip my fancy stuff for +Y (with X base), go halfway with ascending, convert X+Y worth of my (buffed) fancyness to gems, then “perhaps not” out of it and crush gems to get X+Y unbuffed fancyness back, plus another Y worth of equipment. Perhaps a mandatory strip before the conversion is in order?

Welp! I knew that this was possible but I didn’t particularly want to make it remove all equipment or anything like that… there should be a fix coming at some point this week, but I suppose i better do something about that somehow.

I’m free! Free from Hell! I better gamble away everything I have- Wait a minute… why is that when I get the super jackpot for a 1000 rat bet (100k rats, plus 200 rat points)I get the "you were unlucky, better luck next time" quality in the rewards box? Surely I was super lucky?

Probably because I goofed and made almost every Rare Success a Rare Default (i.e. failure) by mistake. I fixed some of them, but evidently not all!
e: psst i turned all the dumb moneygrab stuff back on, but you can opt out of it if you want. damn me if i’m not reasonable.

A few comments on moneygrab.
A- up the golden rat one from 3 to 7-that would make sense.
B- a billion rat is equivalent to 999 999 999 ras a 4 nex. for 4 nex you can buy 160 000 000 rats. The point? there is none.
Fancincess could use a boost to 300 CP per.
Three of them, for a bargain price! Four golden rats, straight up, no strings attached. Rats.
Sounds about right yeah nothing weird about it at all.
Boop, boop. The God Zone is now open for bidness. It’s missing a couple options and i have a card or two i’m still planning on adding there.
The balance is all sorts of wobbly and I’m not entirely certain about the overall mechanics of the place! But hey! I like feedback! Then I can go fix things! Fixing things is pretty ok.
