I am a sly and menacing individual of mysterious and indistinct gender. I seek a patron willing to mold and shape my very impressionable self. My raw stats are:
(Edited to reflect up-to-date stats) I bow to your expertise, particularly if you’re a dangerous patron.
Say my name and I disappear. It would bless me infinitely if a gentleman or gentlewoman would kindly take me under their wing. I am open to developing any aspect of my character with the right patron.
I am an insightful and intriguing individual of mysterious and indistinct gender. I have seen many things, and come by many secrets as an Enquirer. I slip between the shadows and rub elbows with many types, though I tend towards the lacivious, hedonistic, and indulgent. I’m a published poet and dabble in artistic pursuits. Being of mysterious and indistinct gender, I have a soft spot for the underdog. While I abhor violence, I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty in pursuit of a just cause; most particularly matters of the heart. I’m also known to step in to protect those that cannot protect themselves, though I often slip away before my soft side is seen.
I’m open to receiving patronage to assist in all aspects of my personality. Most particularly and urgently needed, I think, are Shadowy and Dangerous.
Also, dear folk, I’m interested in connecting with others for pursuits both social and financial. While I tend to keep to myself in most matters, I am understanding the value of trusted folk to call on in times of need. Please feel free to do so…
the latter of which I count myself part of. I am currently working on recovering my relationship with The Embassy after I have asked of them the great favour to permit me to become a conjurer. I am deeply interested in all things strange and related to the past and would hope to someday be able to count myself among the Seekers should that path open itself again. In personality I find myself magnanimous and uncaring of the origins of my counterpart, though the Embassy and the Rubbery Men will forever retain a soft spot in my heart.
and I find myself in search of An Invisible Eminence to support my endeavours of one day reaching a possibility of entering the Brass Embassy and subsequently Hell.
I can sadly not provide a riddle but for a suitable atmosphere I can recommend the poem "Die Brück’ am Tay" by Theodor Fontane though it sadly is only recorded in german. edited by Moritz on 7/12/2015
I wish to extend an all inclusive call to my fellow citizens of the Neath.
As a young lady alone in the fallen city I find myself in need of certain skills. I may not seem as though I have much to work with, but I am excited to learn. I also understand that it can take a fair bit of time to find a good Patron/Protégé match.
My current stats are as follows:
Watchful 29
Shadowy 52
Dangerous 27
Persuasive 59
While I would like to find an Extraordinary Mind, I would never pass up any opportunity to learn useful skills and would welcome anyone. If you have the time to teach, I have the time to learn.
A riddle:
I can only live where there is light, but I die if the light shines on me. What am I? ( I apologize if anyone else already posted this)
Thank you for your consideration,
Isabelle Rose
Update: Patron located. I have found such wonderful company here, thank you all for reading. I am still open to social invitations. edited by Isabelle Rose on 7/21/2015
She has done her false-star chart and has discovered that a Shadowy patron would be most along her lines of interest (which she also read on her palm), but that any patron at all would be host appreciated.
Her qualifications (besides being known to be the wisest woman in Europe, with a wicked pack of cards, to boot), are:
Thank you!
I leave you with a riddle of a sort, courtesy of T.S.:
Here, said she,
Is your card, the drowned Phoenician Sailor,
(Those are pearls that were his eyes. Look!)
Here is Belladonna, the Lady of the Rocks,
The lady of situations.
Here is the man with three staves, and here the Wheel,
And here is the one-eyed merchant, and this card,
Which is blank, is something he carries on his back,
Which I am forbidden to see. I do not find
The Hanged Man. Fear death by water
I see crowds of people, walking round in a ring. edited by LawrenceKeyworth on 7/2/2015 edited by LawrenceKeyworth on 7/15/2015 edited by LawrenceKeyworth on 7/15/2015
While walking through the streets one day a small urchin bumps into you and runs off before you can say a thing to them. Checking your pockets you find that instead of missing anything you have gained something instead, a letter with a plain wax seal. Opening it you find the following message inside:
"To who it might concern,
I am not someone you are likely to know however I have heard stories about you. Tales of your exploits have intrigued me, the foes you have conquered through force, the treasures you have "acquired", the things you have seen and most of all the tales you have spun. For you see, while I am no stranger to similar activities I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to learn from one so much more experienced then I. Now do not think that I intend to only take, if you are so generous as to help me then I shall be most generous in helping you in turn. Take some time to think on my proposal and if you are interested in perusing this arrangement leave a note saying so at the location indicated below. I’ll leave you with a riddle while you decide: Round she is, yet flat as a board, Altar of the Lupine Lords. Jewel on black velvet, pearl in the sea unchanged but e’er changing eternally. Who am I?
Signed,
Shadow Alpha

Seeking patronage from a legendary charisma or invisible eminence
Bernhard Schmidt is approaching the infernal gates, step by step. He is known in certain circles as an intimate of Devils and seeks knowledge and understanding. Only time will tell if it is his downfall or salvation. One thing is certain: he will need preparation and strength to survive the journey.

He would most prefer a dangerous individual to mentor him, as his marksmanship is keen, though his conditioning lacking. All mentors will be welcomed, however.
Since arriving in the neath in search of honest labor, I have taken to calling myself Aethrys. No need to look into my surface history terribly hard, undoubtedly most of my references will have forgotten me by now. I am at present engaging myself in work that some may style similar to an investigator of private affairs, though I do at times dabble with the pen, and have achieved modest success in doing so.

I would be terribly pleased to make the acquaintance of an Invisible Eminence, as I have found that there are many matters that require a certain subtlety, (All in service of the great and good, I assure you) for which I could benefit greatly from tutelage in one versed in such matters. Failing that, a Legendary Charisma to assist with my fledgling writing career would be most welcome.

Through a startling mixture of adventure and misadventure, Eris’s brother in law William is now in London. He’s an affable chap but has no idea how to go on and really could do with a helping hand. He really cannot be picky as to speciality, bless him.
I’m mainly looking for a Shadowy or Dangerous Patron, but being acquainted with some talkative rat, i’ll be glad to spen evenings learning about other stats !
Hope to receive a delicious invitation on any support available from you. Look for an elegant town house with the Name AguSky on it ! I’ll offer you a fancy drink !
Dearest madams, sirs, maidens, sirrahs, domesels, gantrelmans, and cr_____s,
I, Chauncey Mortimer, hereby put forth my interest in the attainment of a patron who might better me in the arts of watchfulness. Despite this esteemed pursuit occupying the bulk of my time here, I find myself woefully underqualified for all but the most menial tasks.
WATCHFUL 38

Accepting me as your patree (I refuse to use the continental term in this - or other - matters), shall give you a willing and able partner in a wide range of activities, including games of the Don’s Folly (known to some as Chess), mycological prose-crafting, horseplay (wherein two consenting worthies enter a horse costume and gallivant about on an hastily erected stage), tincturing, the identification and categorization of spots, and cetera.
As for a riddle, I shall only accept patronage from those who can answer the following brain-twister:
"It can’t be caught or bought," he laughed, then poured me some in my next draught
An Imperturbable Agent is seeking a patron (most especially of Legendary Charisma or Shattering Force - one cannot hope to get about in life without a certain amount of clout, whether through words or deeds - but a proper agent would never scorn other forms of tutelage).

Salubrious greetings good friends. I, Scienceandponies, am currently engaged in the daunting task of unraveling the bountiful metaphysical mysteries of the neath, and am seeking a patron skilled in the acquisition of secrets, whether through social grace or subterfuge. Of course, I shan’t turn away the keen observations of a fellow natural philosopher, nor the too frequently applicable advise of an experienced pugilist.
