I can confirm that no knife of any sort has been sent to you. To send such a thing would be unwise. So you should definitely not check whether a package has been sent to you.

Maybe someone could satisfy my curiosity by sending an invitation to such intriguing game? Thank you so much, delicious friends!

I have my invite but I’m in need of people to play against, if anyone’s interested in friending? My SN ID is the same as on here, Fallen London name is Deryn.
I am a collector of interesting tokens, so if a delicious acquaintance or stranger has one to spare, I would very much enjoy receiving one. I love games!

I am both thankful and in understanding that no knife has been sent as I agree it would be unwise…

I suggest you wait until you’ve acquired 2-3 tokens (you’ll get 1 daily), and then pick a form. You can do so by checking the Soft-Hearted Widow, Dusty Bookshop, and four card lodgings cards. Use those same cards to interact with other players, and you may earn tokens. Interacting with other players is the only way to have more than 3 tokens.

Oh. Well, sounds like I’m still too new to afford keys to the 4 lodging cards, and I’ve yet to run across the widow or the bookshop. :\ Is there a point in waiting, or should I just go ahead and pass along my tokens to someone else?
The “An Implausible Penance” opportunity card, which now contains all the Connected: Criminals spending options, also includes options to attack another player or change your K&C form. It begins to appear when you have Connected: Criminals 10. So, if you have Watchful 10 (Dusty Bookshop), POSI (The Soft-Hearted Widow) or Criminals 10, odds are you’ll get a chance to hop in soon enough. I’d say keep your tokens, it’s worth the wait. But stick to attacking newbies, you don’t want to invoke the wrath of those with more attack opportunities than you have available to you.
Thanks for the info. I just got a form, thanks to that random form change popup, so now I just have to wait and see if one of those cards appears? How long does this go on?
This whole business sounds utterly farcical. It would not do for a fellow of my reputation to pursue this matter in public.
That said, perhaps there are some more sordid types who could help a sinister friend of mine get an invitation for this completely made up and not at all sociable event. If so, please pass the invite onto me, and I will be sure the urchins deliver it to him. Thank you, fellow sordid types.
A new attack card was added, when the Polite Invitation storylet at lodgings was converted into an Opportunity card it was also made into an attack card as well. Players of K&C will need to spend more actions points to attend one and yet may still be hunted there by other party goers. This only concerns People of Some Importance because only then will the card be available.
I am in need of dance partner myself. I have added you as a friend.
Also, if everybody hasn’t realized this already you can now buy a Chrysalis Candle at the Cottage that allows you to change your form whenever for only 2 Iron Tokens.
If, perchance such events did exist, One would love to hear more, please feel free to drop round to my parlor for an invigorating chat

This old soul can still dance, and he looks for a partner that can match him while he attempts to get a map to polythreme.

I speak of a club which doesn’t actually exist of cutlery and wax that I wasn’t expelled from and I don’t want an invitation to. I await with bated breath.
another invitation would be wounderfull since “Nigel Overstreet” murdered me the first day … :(
I am still sadly lacking in an invitation to the dance… My username is the same as my profile name.
Asclepius Unbound is always happy to entertain those who wish to drop by for a chat.
On an entirely unrelated note, he was an avid player of Knife and Candle, back in the good old days. Ah, happy times…
Looks like things are starting to work for me. Should anyone feel up to a dance, my card is free.
i surely would go for a stab and a flame, were someone to call on me.
