It’s clear from both the Wiki and discussion here that (a) the results of the most recent goat-hurling match will determine which Discordant Law will be invoked when the Stones are read and (b) this, in turn, determines which set of Discordant Ripples are in operation until the Law is cancelled down in the Nadir.
One could certainly perform the grinding necessary to instantiate each of the three possible Laws, but I wonder if there’s any payoff beyond the Ripples.
Has anyone observed anything else that is determined or affected by the choice of the current Law? In the Anchorhold, the Castle, or elsewhere? edited by daveax on 10/14/2021
Has anyone observed anything else that is determined or affected by the choice of the current Law? In the Anchorhold, the Castle, or elsewhere?
Well, obviously there’s founding the tracklayers’ city. But other than that I can’t think of any examples off the top of my head.
Hmm, I’m not seeing the connection between having any Discordant Law in effect and creating the TLU’s city. Care to elucidate?
(Which reminds me: Are we able to visit said city once it’s been founded?)
I am in need of a discordant missive, in London, have 89 influence, and I am willing to reciprocate with whatever is wanted. I would be grateful for the help.
In the lab working on a new impossible theorem! Thank you, but someone else has obliged now. I will send things your way anyway though, just for the kind thought.
