Unfortunately that doesn’t seem to have helped in my case.
Edit: no idea what changed or where, but after a bunch of faffing about and trying different things the problem finally seems to have resolved itself somehow. A lot of wasted actions but at least I can proceed now. Cheers for the advice, guys.
Is it? I have the sense that it came together pretty easily for me. I’m pretty sure I’ve put all the items in place to buy a second one, too.
Maybe I’ve just become so inured to the grind that I don’t really even feel it anymore.
I take this back, by the way. I forgot the Breath of the Void trade involves a coruscating soul. I do have one left, but since I’ll want a spare or two on hand… not gonna enjoy doing that again. edited by Tsar Koschei on 5/6/2021

I seem to be having the exact same problem. Any idea what you did to fix it?
I seem to be having the exact same problem. Any idea what you did to fix it?
Not sure.
I think in this case the relevant quality might be hidden so the numbering actions do nothing because you already have it, and also unlike with previous seals the option at the lake doesn’t seem to be visible until you’re actually ready to perform it. Just keep checking and double checking that you have everything in place, modified nightmare score zero, maybe clear your cache etc… I dunno.

You can buy a coruscating at the museum of souls for a metric ton of other souls.
Anyone wants to trade discordant missives? Contact Anakhi; can send one in return.
Edit: nevermind; Anakhi hasn’t found anyone willing to partake in this endeavor and is definitely not on his way to enlightment of forgetfulness. edited by Anakhi on 5/6/2021
You can buy a coruscating at the museum of souls for a metric ton of other souls.
Is that actually significantly better than the fidgeting writer option? Has anyone run the numbers? At a glance the cost is pretty dire.
A quick simulation shows that you save on average ~20 actions with the fidgeting writer (140sh) compared to the museum (160ish), but if the gods of RNG do not favour you the advantage is quickly lost

I know most of the Hurlers stuff is supposed to be under tight wraps, but after finally biting the bullet and getting myself some Veils-Velvet I’ve found a very specific and out of the way interaction that may be of interest to those that have completed Bag a Legend. Suffice to say that however it was accomplished, killing the Vake will NOT go unnoticed.
By the way, to anyone wondering if all the pain doing this was worth it: Yes. Yes it was.
Yeah, I do agree, if only for all the flavor text and the journey itself. The lost stats are quite easily recovered and while the resource costs are substantial, it’s not all just a sacrifice with no recompense. All the time spent at the river was probably the part I liked the least. That and
the increase in Liberation, I’ve been trying to shave mine down and it really jumped up now. But that only makes sense I guess, considering.
Has anyone discovered any sort of use for Anticandles or the Discordance stone yet?
@Tsar Koschei : you asked earlier about a card unlocked with the Immaterial Material :
It unlocks an option on one of the cards drawn in the Adulterine Castle (Laundry Day). You can get a few whisper satn scraps with it.
The Discordant Stone also unlocks an option with an Adulterine card (again and again). It enables to get a memory of an anchorhold, which is nice to be able to visit the Anchoress without losing some more stats… I need to check the options she provides to see if any is particularly worth it.
If anyone needs a Discordant Missive, send me a calling card asking for one. It might not work after a while since I’m almost full in influence, but I’ll answer while I can. edited by Mr J on 5/6/2021

For some reason I cannot do it. Says "they are not eligible for this invitation".
I’ll try later.

Despite spoilers in this thread, I still don’t get how to count 0 hurlers to get the first seal - can anybody explain?
I am also wondering the best way to recover AotRS. Looks like grinding warbler skeletons (and trying to fail the final roll) is the best way? Or possibly waiting for Whitsun, which is just around the corner?
I’ve done everything, I believe - 8 seals, Zero Seal, Black Castle, Discordant Stone — but I never seen the interaction related to the Veils-Velvet and the Immaterial Material. Where do you guys get that one?
You need to complete Lower Circle first (seals 5-8). Then Meditate over the Lower Principles with Anchoress. It will drop Lower Circle Count to 0, you can then set Upper Circle to one.
AotRS - if you don’t have April, perhaps studying Unlawful Devices in Moulin? You can also use Rubbery Trenches in the Expeditions to restore Shapeling Arts.
