How do I connect Sunless Sea to my profile?

&quotAspiring Zee-Captains&quot card tells: ‘if you connect Sunless Sea to this account’ but I don’t know how can I do it. I’ve bought Sunless Sea for different email and this game doesn’t prompt me for any kind of account at all.
Apologies if I’m missing something very obvious.

You log into Sunless Sea with the account data for the FL character, meaning it’s email and password. That should be it. It does not matter what email you’ve bought Sunless sea for. I’m not sure what you mean by &quotdoesn’t prompt me for any kind of account at all&quot?

Realated question - anyone who registered through facebook has tried to connect his fallen london and sunless sea account?

I put in “email” and “password” my facebook email and passwords, but it does not seem to work.

Log on to Fallen London, then look up at the top-right where it has your player name. Click that, select &quotedit your account&quot, and under &quotauthentication methods&quot you’ll see an option to add an email address. You can also set a password using the obvious button.

I had to do the same thing because I’ve always logged in using Twitter.

Hello, Reshemin. When I logged into Sunless Sea, it didn’t ask me to log in with any kind of account - I just opened the game and it started to run, like a usual game. This is what I meant about ‘didn’t prompt me for any kind of account’. I’m running Humble Bundle version.
Richard, I’d rather not to connect my buying email with FL account. Is there other way?

When you click ‘Get New Stories’, it’ll ask you to connect - we use FL for publishing new content quickly.

If you don’t want to link it to your existing FL account, you can register a new one through the game client; but there will be minor story advantages to linking your existing account.

(Oops - overtaken by a much more authoritative reply, blanking this one to avoid confusion.)

Hello, Mr. Kennedy. I don’t mind linking FL account from inside Sunless Sea; what I don’t want to do is to add my buying email (which I’ve bought Sunless Sea with) to FL account. Thank you, I’ll try to add FL email to SS the way you’ve described.

Thank you, Richard, I’ll try it :)

A side question: will story benefits apply only to Sunless Sea account/progress or FL account will get some zail-assistance as well?

Just in case there’s any residual uncertainty here, you definitely don’t need to link the same email address you used to purchase Sunless Sea (I didn’t, and it worked fine). I’m reasonably sure you could create a special-purpose account using gmail or whatever, if that’s what you prefer to do.

Thank you, Richard, it worked :)
I’ve connected my FL account to my Sunless Sea account successfully - no important emails exposed :)

Richard is correct - you could create a throwaway account if you were worried. FL doesn’t need to know about your purchase gmail.

The narrative goodness currently, and probably permanently, flows only one way, from FL to SS.

Thank you, Mr. Kennedy.
(I will keep some hope for zail-assistance in FL from my Sunless Sea, though)

Whhhhy is the “Aspiring Zee Captains” card in FL suddenly appearing in my hand even after I’ve played it, and non-discardable too? I don’t want to keep increasing my Connected: Docks or to make a Whirring Contraption . . .

That’s odd; it’s now a storylet for me…

It was a storylet! And now it’s not, and it’s a card again.

Yes, it’s currently taking up space in my hand too. Guess it’ll be my buddy for the week.

Very annoying. And it didn’t make a Whirring Contraption for me. Taking the very expensive option only gave me beetles…

EDIT: Good news; the card can now be discarded!

Yep, it seems there are 2 different successes.

Ugh. A net loss of 5 echoes and 5 actions? Cruel, cruel card.
