Estival 2025 Discussion Thread: Hell is Missing

I am interested in whether they’ve adjusted the payout. Each hunt seems to take longer and the Storm Thredony on Ontological has been replaced with a Glass Gazette. Not bad though, very fun to have another free location out west.

The length of Law hunts was increased from 36 CP (level 8) to 55 CP (level 10), and the payout was reduced from 80€ to 65€.

A typical hunt now requires 1 action to start + 10 actions for progress + 2-3 actions to switch forms + 1 action to cash out, for a total of 14-15 actions.

Neat. If only there was a better source of Third City relics it looks like there might be a fairly good False Hagiotoponym grind for the rat market set up between Law Forging and monographs (for silent souls and infernal contracts).

Really glad to see we can check in on the Enclave! I’d love it if we can do more with them in the future, but just being able to make sure things are going okay at the moment is reassuring, and makes the whole event feel like it really had a lasting meaning.

My guess is that they won’t have too much more with them, because they have to, in a sense, keep them trapped in hell for the older stories to work. FBG isn’t rewriting a bunch of old stories and text where the Bishop talks about (and/or is motivated by) his old comrades being trapped in hell. So just like it’s always 1899, the prisoners have to always be technically trapped in hell - hence this plot where we kind-of-freed-them-but-not-really, so that any old stories that refer to them being prisoners is still technically true.

It wouldn’t have to be freeing them, I’d quite enjoy a plot to help out with some of their unfinished business in London, do something with the devils that seem to be joining them, or even just bring them some magazines!
