Expect this year to work a little differently from previous Estivals – which is to say: leave your expectations at the threshold. We don’t want to say too much more – Monday’s newspaper will reveal all.

Of all the Infernal shenanigans I was expecting, this wasn’t any of them. 3 words into Estival and I’m already floored.
Guess I’ll be taking a break from Burgundy on Monday to be there for the hive when it starts.

The airship one would be really mean considering it’s a 1/30 chance. Although it doesn’t take that many actions to try and get the RNG to comply, compared to other stuff.
This sounds so exciting! I love the concept, it feels pretty different from the other ones but is automatically intriguing, and mysteries to do with Hell seem like they’d have good potential for high stakes without relying on blowing up London. I’m hoping maybe they’ll build on last year’s move to create some more personal, small-scale stakes for characters or for us; I really liked getting to discover more about the competitors and coming to care about their goals, and I think stakes that affect us personally would also be rather interesting. But bigger stakes revolving around Hell or other more mysterious parts of the Neath would also be really cool.
And I can’t wait to find out what crazy new workings they’ve come up with! At this point I feel pretty confident they’ve gotten down a fair balance on making sure you don’t miss anything just because you sleep at the wrong time or have a busy couple of days, so I’m not worried that not knowing what to expect means increased risk of missing out, which would be the main thing I’d worry about with having it work so differently.
I think we should worry more about Prohibition than Hell being missing. Mr Lemonade?! Starting the “Bring Back Mr Wines” movement, building a makeshift still in the basement of my townhouse and wondering if Burgundy has any vineyards we can purchase. And someone had better check on His Amused Lordship!

Oh drat, I won’t be able to visit Hell until TtH comes on Thursday. And I have to wonder if I’d even be able to get the Flower if hell is gone - it should be on my next visit, but I’m not sure which takes priority.
