Magnificent ^_^
"We should vote for the Presbyterian Spy who promises chaos, because the other two candidates, even though well meaning, will have a hard time to fight the powers that be and stand a good chance to be unable to realise their noble ambitions." -Feducci Support.
…tsk.
Then again, there are ESL players.

Looks like the Dauntless Temperance Campaigner has a totally awesome appearance in the new mayoral card ^_^
I’m really glad FB gave her the role of defacto opposition leader. It’s a nice consolation prize for a character who only just made her breakout appearance and therefore needs all the new content she can get. Plus, dauntlessly leading protests is what she does.

She is, without a question, the best. The election results did absolutely nothing to change that.
It’s even more impressive when you take into account that she’s addressing the protesters from the front of the crowd in order to keep them focused on the task at hand. To properly address a crowd one needs to be facing them, meaning the Campaigner constantly has her back turned to a platoon of heavily armed ruffians. That takes some nerve.
Anyway, there’s talk of some of the defeated candidates, including the Campaigner, running in future elections. Personally, I think the Contrarian has the strongest case of getting a second chance in 1896. But with the increasing depth being added to London’s politics, is there any reason the Campaigner couldn’t ally with the Contrarian by, say, being his campaign manager? Leading, organizing, and managing campaigns is after all what the Campaigner does. And after leading a year long campaign against Feducci, it would just be odd for the Campaigner to suddenly disappear off the stage. In elections, people, symbols and issues carry over from one contest to the next (Jenny’s endorsement of the Campaigner was one example, Feducci’s appropriation of Jenny and the Contrarian’s campaign colors another, and the Detective’s plans to prosecute Jenny’s staff for corruption yet another).
The Campaigner and the Contrarian have a lot in common. Both are opposed to the domination Masters and the Liberation of the Night. Both believe in pursuing change through democratic and non-violent methods, albeit very rowdy in your face ones (the Contrarian with his incessant pranks and the Campaigner with her nonstop protests). Both have had to deal with violence extremists trying to hijack their movements. They even share an estrangement from their respective social groups - the Contrarian is a revolutionary intellectual who doesn’t get on all that well with his fellow Revolutionaries, while the Campaigner is a Society matron who doesn’t have much patience for Society. Hell, given the Campaigner’s past Revolutionary connections and the Contrarian’s day job as a Society gadfly, they probably know each other fairly well and interact more than a little.
So the real question is, can these two very strong personalities cooperate? Their ways of doing things are fairly different. The Contrarian is all about high principles: the freedom of London. The Campaigner in contrast is very much about the platform, the list of improvements, the practical program for social betterment. These two approaches could compliment each other nicely, provided their respective personalities could compromise.
What does everyone else think?
