I’m still accepting any and all confessions. I’m going to keep my menaces all at 3 over the night, and will be sending out a bunch of my own. Tomorrow will then be dedicated to answering any and all I receive.

Guys thanks for sending confessions myway and kindly taking mine. Yet I got to ask how do you guys manage to keep your menace above 3 so…quickly?
I striped bare and equipped the talkative mouse and went to do the “unfinished business” and “seek curios” storylets (since they are not in a quest chain/will also yield value should I success), But since my stats got high enough it usually takes me 20 actions to get all 4 of my menaces back up to 3…
Any suggestions?
Elifaus – go to the Forgotten Quarter and click on Reaping the academic benefits. Every time you give a public lecture, you gain Suspicion. And if you wear a pair of Stockings and a Modish Bonnet, your Scandal will be set to three. So you can raise your Menaces high enough for a Whimsy Confession in six actions.
You can reduce that to five actions if you put on a Pirate Hat after accepting an invitation, but before giving any lectures.
Also, I owe you a Confession – when you get the chance, please send an invitation my way so I can reciprocate.

I’ve kept my nightmares and wounds at a sufficient level using my starveling cat. It only takes 6 actions to get both to 3. If you don’t own one, you can always get one on loan from someone else.
Yeah, I’d like to borrow a kitty from somebody. Drinking all of the laudanum in the Neath is entertaining, but not very efficient. XD

If you have a Grubby Kitten and a Starveling Cat, you can raise Wounds and Nightmares by ten change points in one action.
Just introduce them to each other on the Kitten’s opportunity card. You get the same amount whether you succeed or fail on the luck check.

Stockings and Bonnet should give one point each, but if you unequip them you should be left with one lingering point. If you re-equip Stockings and Bonnet, that point plus the two from the gear should take you to 3. If that doesn’t happen it could be either a bug or a change in the mechanics (like the Prisoner’s Mask and Prison Shiv that no longer provide Suspicion).
prison shiv only gives a point of suspicion if you have 0. Only the stockings give permanent scandal as far as I know.
The Prison Shiv doesn’t give a point of Suspicion at all anymore, only the Pirate Hat does. The Modish Bonnet also gives a point of Scandal.
