It only makes things more mysterious. How can Derek have UP for at least 8 weeks, if I logged in his account for the first time in months the day before yesterday?
I’ve been away from 7 months and I’m a little rusty. Is there something that gives you a huge amount of UP with just a misclick? Because since I don’t remember getting it intentionally, I might have clicked on something without wanting/noticing.
At some point, possibly while you were away, Time the Healer gave Unaccountably Peckish to people who didn’t have any to begin with. Quite annoying, but it could be handled by anyone who took notice quickly enough. Maybe it would be a good idea to contact support@failbettergames.com to see if they could remove the quality from poor Derek? After all, what Time the Healer did that time was apparently a bug.
Or you could just remove it yourself. I never had more than a couple of levels, and used Scraps from the table from A restorative.

Thanks. I’ve already dealt with his hunger in the Labirynth. The menaces came because I wanted to make it sure that black cards wouldn’t bother me any more by gaining 1 SMEN and opting out of it. I clicked the wrong option in one card and even the ‘right’ option in the others gave me a lot of menaces. I just want to know what I did wrong to avoid doing it in my main (and because my scientific mind just have to know sometimes xD). If it was just a bug, it’s more reassuring.
Well, I just turned 10 notability into Watchful with a misclick. Not a great time for that. This is the second time I’ve done done this particular misclick. Really wish the ability overclock options were in a sub menus or had a confirmation page or something.
I’m with you on this misery boat!
After an overall bad morning I misclicked and got my 14 Notability converted to Persuasive. And I was only a few cards away from maximum Notability for god’s sake… And only five days of election to go. I swear it, I’ll never use the damn card again!
I just failed a Modest (63%) challenge to convert Criminals favors to Renown… seven times in a row. Blew like three second chances attempting it, even.
I…I need a hug.
I’ve been waiting for the Unsigned Message for ages. I had a Mood waiting in my hand, just for that card.
I failed to rob the Bazaar–But fear not! I equipped my Nightmare-reducing gear. That’s good.
So, when I finally draw the card (Right after almost going insane), I switch my gear so I can equip the mood…
And accidentally unequip the Nightmare-reducing ones.
So now I’m insane, equipped with a useless mood that will definitely go to waste, and pretty sure the Unsigned Message won’t be there when I come back.
I think I’m going to cry.
The Unsigned Message should be there when you return. :)
Yup, they got rid of that "wipe deck on moving" thing a long time ago, so you can’t get rid of bad cards… or good cards, either, no matter where you travel to.
Oh, thanks goodness…I still feel monumentally stupid for changing out of the Nightmare-reducing stuff (The cane and the goldfish), because the mood is a -Hat-, but…Well, it’s a little bit better. Thanks guys.
Well, I finally did it!
I got my watchful to 211 instead of getting a nice gift! :D And I just increased my Notability to 11 (first time and highest) 2 weeks ago!
Randomly pressed one of the mirrors in the carnival… Wounds rose to 8. Ouch
A matter of luck: it could go either way my ***. If it can go either way you’d think I’d get lucky at least once in 10 tries.
Stupid RNG.

I also have my suspicions about certain "either way" luck checks. There is one (fate) card for which I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen the success. Ever. In about nine months.
“The strength of scars” advertises “an uncertain but substantial” increase to Dangerous. I just used it once and gained exactly five cp of Dangerous. That’s one per Hard-Earned Lesson.
FIVE.

Look on the bright side - according to the wiki, you can get as little as 1 CP.
Once upon a time, I purchased a Handsome Townhouse. I soon decided to put it to use, and organised an orphanage in there. Naturally, that came with costs, both for the initial setup, and for actually running it. I dilligently purchased orphans at the Bazaar, spent perhaps a few hundred echoes building up my scheme, all that stuff. Never really did anything in particular with my Notability besides voting in elections, though.
After a while, I started to regret my choice, seeing as God’s Editors already provide 4BDR and the Salon provides additional Bizarre (which is, I believe, the rarest of the three BDR stats). So out goes about 8 leftover scheme, out go all the echoes spent on the establishment, and in comes a fashionable Salon (for another hundred or so echoes).
And one additional detail: I’ve always wanted a Laconic Prodigy, but only had a vague idea that it was fate-locked, and never bothered to find out where one would actually acquire one.
Today I finally decided to look it up on the wiki. And now I weep.
Well let’s see. My first time hunting the Nadir, I had a skull, I had a Mood, I had enough laudanum to sedate an elephant. I set forth! And tanked dozens of two-supplies challenges in a row (all of which were at least 70%) and got shipped off to the Boat. When I got back the mood was gone, but it didn’t really matter because February was already there and aaaaall those supplies I had accrued and spent on getting nowhere were already gone.
Eventually I got another Skull, another Mood, et cetera, and had a lovely chess-off with February that ended with her being hog-tied, so that’s some lovely payback. Be sure to send February my regards next you see her, regards in the form of your finest assorted weaponry.
I am very sorry, Rubbery Man. I meant to shake hands, not shake you down in a dark alley.
(d----d misclicks…)
Here many of us lament our woes, whether they be soul crushing, infuriating, or blisteringly unfair. And apparently @Teaspoon complains of accidentally killing a squid.
(Yeah, d----d misclicks, although there are much worse things to misclick on than the Slime and Amber card ;))
