Commiseration: Our most painful failures

I failed a 98 percent chance to sabotage Pleat on the gallery expedition, and then failed a 97 percent chance at buccaneering, where Pleat then shot ahead to 10 and won. I had 37 progress.

Truly, I am as Melancholy as the tears I wished to grind. sob

It’s not a failure yet, but it will be a failure in a few months. I am currently grinding for an Overgoat, my nightmares in real life will grow in the process, and when all is finished, not all shall be well, the Goat will just sit there on my mantlepiece…showing how much sanity I have used to get it.

I just went to cash in my Boxful of Intrigue and, well,

I don’t even know what to do now. I was very happy with my ending of the Affair and this was the completely wrong thing to have happen.

You just replay it the same way; I’ve done this at least once and it’s a giant pain, I agree.

Yeah, it’s just sad.

Mine seems so petty compared to everyone else. I sold my soul (stupid). I got married (can I get a divorce?) And I accidentally used up my fate by hitting the deck after I had no cards left.

Losing your soul isn’t that bad. Sometimes it’s actually a good thing especially this Christmas Season if you want a good 5-card lodgings. Yeah, there’s no way to get a divorce yet I’m afraid. Losing FATE is indeed sad.

20/22 attempts to increase my scraps or so have failed, so I lost over 200 scraps. I also got the rare fail with Mr Page, and he sent some very special constables to rummage through my life. (but at least that was interesting and amusing.)

Some more fun from me, I decided to use one of my bottles of tears and lost it on the first try and my first two grabs in the bag where the same thing. Still fun bags and am hoping to find the bag I’m looking for.

Make that 4 times of the same thing for one and 3 for another.

I guess if you roll the dice enough times, this is bound to happen sooner or later :)

I’m on my 12th straight non-airag expedition. it’s like the RNG doesn’t want me to get my 10th vial of tears of the bazaar, the B______.

I’ve mis-tapped and spent fate for 10 new opportunty cards… twice now. Touch Pads seem to hate me.

A recent-ish Android update moved &quotCancel&quot and &quotOk&quot to be right next to each other instead of at opposite ends of the dialogue box and ever since then I’ve been super-paranoid of the same thing happening to me. Sympathies!

Thrice have I attempted to create a Classic Short Story. Thrice have I instead made a Masterful Short Story. But I will not go farther than 200 potential to increase my chances. I will NOT be defeated. DO YOU HEAR ME, RNG? YOU WON’T BREAK ME.

Not super big, but…

I drew An Unsigned Message and another card on my phone. I did not want the other card, which was on the left, so I tapped the discard button. After waiting about three seconds and seeing nothing happen, I tapped again. As I pressed the button, the first card disappeared and was replaced by the other, important card… I wanted to use that once my Notability went up for better odds at a prize…

This one was a bit of a mixed bag. I went to send a letter from my lodgings, but misclicked and accidentally resigned from my profession as a Monster Hunter. Totally wasn’t planning on changing jobs oops. Luckily I just so happened to have the Unsigned Letter card in my hand. I suppose you can call me “Doctor” Brite now, at least until the Sacksmas season ends. It’s bad to lose a high level job like that, but the silver lining is at least Mr Iron will be happy with me this year :D

One moment I was misclicking, the next moment I found myself with 7 years of medical education.
Time is a strange thing in the Neath

Think of it this way: you just received the results from your medical boards, giving you a license to practice.

Well, all that grind of Cryptic Clues at the University adds up to A LOT of semesters.

the 50/50 odds of gambling with your scrap should be quite good in the long run, as you gain more when you win, but lose less when you do lose. when gambling for 10 pieces of scrap, you only lose 8 scraps when you fail. should only avoid gambling for scraps IF you had a long winning streak or you have less than a 100 or so scraps.
