Commiseration: Our most painful failures
My own pain can not compare, but it is still there:

&quotPrize Token hasn’t changed, because it’s higher than 20&quot

And I even marked the date by which I would have to spend some tokens to get new ones. And then I forgot about it. &quotWaste not, want not.&quot Right.
How often are they sent out? It’s not every Time the Healer, right? What’s the schedule?

Every fourth week, I believe.

Thanks.

Just realised I can’t buy another lacre bucket from the Urchins to get the last Remote Address because I spent my last point of Taste of Lacre. :(

Edit: Just realised I could huff Tears of the Bazaar … except I spent them all on Master’s Blood. sigh

WHY DO I HAVE TO BE SO CLUMSY THAT WAS SOME EXPENSIVE WINE

WHY DO I HAVE TO BE SO CLUMSY THAT WAS SOME EXPENSIVE WINE

i was s’pose to max out my watchful, but it seems i’ve max-ed out my persuasive while help my alt gain MWs. not exactly painful but not as planned.

First I waited five minutes too long and let my Watchful mood wear off before I could use it to get the one more point of Scholar of the Correspondence I needed to hit 12. Then I misread the wiki entry on “taking the air” in the Wicket, and thought it gave +1 PTPT and not -1. Cue two days spent grinding for enough Storm-Threnodies to buy another pail, and the loss of my last Night-Whisper.

On the plus side, I had forgotten that the Semiotic Monocle option gives you a CP of Scholar, so the second failure managed to cancel out the first one.

I have failed six times at a ‘low risk’ setting for writing an Exceptional Short Story to become an Author. Each time taking over twenty actions and other resources.

Each time taking over twenty actions and other resources.
That’s the RNG for you. The trick is to aim for a Masterful Short Story. That way, if you fail you get the Exceptional Short Story you need, and if you succeed you get something you can sell for more money.

Well, I just converted a lot of my inventory and used a trade secret, and in total I have … 49 antique mysteries. Joy and rapture.

Thanks! Here we go again!

Fished up a Starveling Cat and a Wretched Bundle

but not my soul

Noman’s Friend just took a fifty-point hit.

Oh, I’ll just use “Attend a church service” to reduce my Scandal… Three failures later, I’m standing around on the tomb-colony docks. Ah well, at least I can restart that realtionship…

Well, I have another Starveling Cat, but still no soul.

So, after getting out of the tomb-colonies, I head back to uni, where I decide to go down the list of possible actions and do them all… And I fail a very modest challenge 5 times in a row. Not really dangerous, just annoying.

Had to purchase a Supply Cache for the Cave of the Nadir expedition, because I was one Supply away.

Just.

One.

You might have done better cycling the Airs of London elsewhere until the ‘A Sign’ option shows up, unless that locks with 0 Supplies.
You might have done better cycling the Airs of London elsewhere until the ‘A Sign’ option shows up, unless that locks with 0 Supplies.
The Airs of the Forgotten Quarter are not so easily cycled. They’re only cycled during expeditions or when searching for curios, which is closed during expeditions.

It’s not Airs of London but Airs of the Forgotten Quarter which you only get while on an expedition or while seeking curios … which you are locked out of while you are doing an expedition.
