Courtesy of a couple of old friends. I used an opportunity card and it started a story at my lodgings.
Well I now have "Route: the Cave of the Nadir 1"
But my Archaeologist is only a 3 and I don’t have an Eyeless Skull yet. But I haven’t been doing Expeditions as I had decided not to risk getting a Skull before The Cave of the Nadir became available.
Off to see what I can find in the Forgotten Quarter.
My husband got the route this morning.
I have a Skull and Archaelogist at 4. Working on another expedition.
By the way, does anyone know if you get Skull cards when you’re at Zee?
EDIT: I now know the answer; you do not get Skull cards at Zee; in fact a Zee voyage is great for flushing Skull cards.

Well I’ve got a skull and Archaeologist 4. Still not sure if it is possible to get to Archaeologist 5 yet. need to replenish my supplies and try a few more expeditions.
Is the card “A Visit,” the one with all your acquaintances, or will I know it when I see it?
I’m never sure how much information to give out on the forum but it is not “A Visit” - but does involve an acquaintance who has only recently reappeared.
Oh hell. I don’t even know where the new Secular Missionary content is. Could someone PM me the details?
You need to wait for an opportunity card.
i am never going to get into the cave of the nadir
The only thing I have left to do is get my Archaeologist to 5, which should only take one more expedition. I might get some backup supplies though, just to make sure I don’t fail miserably when I do start the Cave of the Nadir.
[ul][li]Archaeologist at 5: check.[/li][li]Vile, brain-sucking skull: check.[/li][li]Route: awaiting me at my lodgings.[/li][li]Supplies: 19/60. Wah…[/li][/ul]So, do we think we have rivals on this Expedition? If so, we need 19+ successes, so we’ll almost certainly be obliged to delay them. I’m thinking 80 supplies and a bunch of second chances should suffice.
Also, if all I get out of this is another Storm-Threnody and some paltry secrets, not all the scholars of the Neath will have jars enough for my Plaintive Whines and Aeolian Moans…
Would someone be willing to PM me where/how the route can be acquired?
It’s a new card. Just be on the look out for that. I’m still looking for it myself.

[li]Just to reiterate: I am MORE THAN HAPPY to help with the Second Chances. I will never turn a Second Chance invitation down, and if anyone wants me to be the one to send the invites to them for whatever reason, PM me and I’ll be happy to do so. This Expedition business is just too crazy and reliant on capped stats for me to mess with with my measly 78 Watchful and +17 in gear, so I’m quite satisfied helping other people get there. ;)
I don’t suppose anyone at this point knows what end results change depending on who you sponsor for the expedition? Or even what changes immediately after the choice? I ask, because while Hell is usually my first choice for Factions to support, the Revolutionaries are a close second. The problem is, at this time, the woman seems more Revolutionary than the man.
Man, it takes 60 progress to get to the end, but your rival still only needs 10 to bother you. I’m only just getting halfway to the Nadir and already it looks inevitable that my rival will hit 10 - I guess I’ll just have to find out how I can deal with her.
In the (admittedly shorter) expeditions to the Temple that I have done, at a certain point you get a storylet that allows you to take action to slow down your rival. You will probably have the same option.
And for whatever reason, the storylet that gives you Connected: Criminals at the Carnival isn’t capped at 10.
Like Flipz mentioned, I too would be more than happy to duel minds in chess with any of you. I know this isn’t the ideal place to put it, but people here have higher Watchful, and I am at the cap with an item-assisted minimum of 133. I’d really like to play chess with someone with someone who has higher Watchful than that if anyone here would be willing and able.
