It’s not about the Brass Rings exactly, it’s about getting 12.50 echoes for a single action every now and then.
and Half-Abandoned Mansion is from a card and needs winning streak of 4? yeah, got that too.
Winning streak of three to get the card, seven to get the key. And even if you have the key you still need a streak of three to keep getting the card and take advantage of the opportunities (unless I’m mistaken). For the option that I prefer you also need a Moon League Token, so even if you get to keep your Proud Parade of Victories when handing in your tokens, I’d say The Listing Tower is a good reason not to do so.
And waiting for Prize Tokens… Well, now that you have the knife you were waiting for, it seems to me as if it should be more of an issue of dealing with the tokens when you get them rather than waiting for them?

well. too late for that. and i’ve never won any golden hunts , so i have no idea. winning streaks are also gone along with the 50 iron tokens i had. strangely got to keep my chrysalis candles. guess that mansion key is of novelty value now… just like my dashingly elusive cape.
some other time then. maybe after i’ve explored the devilish colony and killed jack of smilies for good.
I’m proud to announce I have finally raised all but one of my Connections to the Title Cap! All I need now is Masters. As soon as I get my Impossible Theorem, I’m going for the whole set!
my main is now A Shattering Force! thank some of thee for the coffee, and dinners, and the few who managed to thump me into the ground!
EDIT: i… my main has "defeated" jack of smiles, and is currently returning back to london! that took slightly less time than expected. also convinced a clothes colony to ermmm… merge with me?? and obtained this fiesty unfinished hat.

after a week of flipping cards and failing to find any constable card, my alt Vimes has decided to become a journalist instead of a watcher. ho hum.
and my main has a newspaper now… “The Resident Echo”
Nice! Moriarty is in a wonderful, yet infuriating position. Good news:
- I have (finally!) brought down an Impossible Theorem. I’m naming mine the “Hunter-Seeker Algorithm.” Because I’m an Alpha Centauri nerd. In universe, I’d supposed Moriarty has discerned a way to render any spy network impregnable. Such a thing is impossible, of course. That’s why it works so well.
Bad news:
*I have the materials to raise my Connected: The Masters of the Bazzar to the Title Cap (8, for “There May Be Indiscretions!”) But I haven’t got the card yet, despite sitting on a few hundred units of Proscibed Material. Time to wait, I guess, until the RNG god favors me. In the meantime, I’ve now exhausted all other options. Its time…to Overgoat.
Finally reached 200 in all stats.
Not really “good fortune” per se, but I’ve finally managed to accumulate 3200 scraps.
Now on to 6400 (since I expect to lose/invest them all when SMEN content returns).
after a long distraction, my main has finally gathered up me bullyboys or whacamacallit’s, and created a gang of my very own.
now to get on to squeezing honey out of a honey-mazed wretch for my longterm membership into the insane asylum… i mean, rent a certain hotel room…while i’m still mostly sane
Not good fortune, just ridiculous: I’ve just reached 2000 Empire’s Kingmaker.
I’ve reached the maximum stat cap of 200 for all stats, without even being an POSI.
but why??? POSI makes it far easier to grind resources.

I didn’t feel like it really, that’s really the main reason if anything.
Now that is really impressive as well as interesting. In fact, it’s much like choosing to complete Arkanoid blindfolded for lack of difficulty. I’m in the 70’s myself stat-wise so I probably cannot even truly appreciate the magnitude of such a choice.
Sir, I applaud your masochism with bewilderment and respect. It makes me wonder if you have more anecdotes to share of choosing the "road less traveled" irl or game-wise.

More than this, I would ask, why avoiding deliberately the nice storylines for POSI only? :)

Well another thing is I keep getting nightmares naturally, and from the occasional bazaar theft I don’t know a lot of people I can rely on for that, so I also drink lots of Laudanum to cover for that.
Also I think it was because I decided to finish up every non-POSI thing I could do first before moving on. Not sure what’s left though, something about illusions and a plaster face.
I lost my soul on the second try of the "How can you fail" roll on the Intimate of Devils opportunity card.
So, I headed to the Flit expecting a LONG (300-ish turns) grind to get it back rolling a "100" on a bundle of Oddities. I got it back after 3 turns =)
I have just found the last skull I needed for the Cave of Nadir expedition. Literally dancing with happiness around the flat.
I finally got my bifurcated owl, and I called it Nox after the Roman goddess of night (who is normally called Nyx). Now to gather up the entire menagerie all over again…
