Acknowledgeable Achievements and Accoutrements
That’s kind of a drag, I had been wanting to grind my Austere as high as I could. Now I guess it’s stuck where it is until further game updates.

At level 28 does that make me the most Austere in the Neath?
edited by Kaanyia on 12/3/2012
Dang, 21 and 28 - I thought my 16 was quite Austere. And I even committed to it enough to have 0 Hedonist (and 0 Heartless and Forceful). I figured if I was going to be Austere, Magnanimous, and Subtle I may as well go all in on them.

Ooooh! Get into an Airag war with Amaresu!
If there is a war I will win it! Possibly.
Oops - it was not my intention to initiate hostilities, it was just something else to collect. I’ve only got the stuff on hand to get one more anyway, so I think you’re safe. You’re welcome to the titled of Most Airaged. I’ll go back to showcasing my collection of 41 Searing Enigmas…I don’t know if that was ever a record, and if it was if someone has since surpassed it, but I’m pretty sure it’s at least sort of noteworthy.
I prefer Queen of the Airag!

…that is it can be a friendly contest?

41 Searing Enigmas? That’s pretty impressive.

I asked Mr Gylden and he said his Austere is 24. That make Kaanyia the highest I’ve seen.

I suppose that is my singular accomplishment, unless someone else comes forward or the game is updated. Mantlepiece’d it.

I’ve reached Tomb Colonies 151, although the descriptor doesn’t appear to have changed.

Has anyone else managed to get “Admitted to the House of Chimes: A Meteorological Moment” yet? I know I was the first, but there may be others since then.

Apart from that, I’m not sure I’ve much that’s unique. I nearly have St Arthur’s candle in the Seeking the Name storyline, which puts me in the top 0.01% or so, but those people are heavily represented on this forum.

Other interesting things I have (I’m most proud of the dreams, since I’ve nurtured them from day one):

 • “A Veteran of All Hallows’ Eve”
 • A False Lead
 • A Knife-and-Candle rank (Eleven, for the record)
 • Pretty damn high Dreams (Is Someone There 18, Death By Water 12, What the Thunder Said 18, The Burial of the Dead 17, The Fire Sermon 16, A Game of Chess 20)
 • Stormy-Eyed 11
 • Approaching the Gates of the Garden 25, Seeing Through the Eyes of Icarus 18, Touched by Fingerwork 45, Walking the Fallen Cities 43
 • The Gift of Transcendent Devotion I received from @OScarletO last Feast of the Exceptional Rose

…Man, are you saying you don’t have much that’s unique? When I started looking for something to put on my Mantelpiece, I ended up amassing Prelapsarian Archeology work - a quite unefficient way of using actions - just because most everything else seemed so far beyond any chance to keep up XD I’ll say, I finally got me a Bifurcated Owl and it seems nearly mundane ^^

(Just to keep the hopes up - how many people here’s got An Experienced Zailor at more than 10 - A Zee-Voyager of Note?)

I have Meteorological Moment (Stormy-Eyed 12). I am pretty sure I am not tops in Stormy-Eyed, though. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’m not tops in anything. Oh well. :)

I don’t think I have anything particularly noteworthy either! Knife and candle rank 8, i guess. None of my quirks are particularly high. 13 subtle, 11 steadfast and ruthless and 10 melancholy. Don’t really like grinding up qualities for the purpose of bragging rights.

I was like that too, but getting to the current end of my Ambition and of most storylines, I had two choices - stopiing playing for a while, or looking for some artificial goal to achieve, occasionally going for a Fate-Locked storylet just for variety ^^ I’m trying not to get to the point where I’ll be completely without any new content, unbtil the game itself won’t be finshed.

I’m not really tops in anything, but I did hit Connected: The Great Game 150 - A Power in the Shadows, today. Which is nice, considering the only way to get it up is at 2CP an action once you’re a POSI. Between this and grinding Defender of Truth I’ve been at this for two months (I keep getting distracted by dreams cards). Good news is now I’ve reached the descriptor limits on Society, The Great Game, and Bohemians. Which is pretty cool. Gonna head to the Flit to grind up Revolutionaries while I wait for Newspaper cards next I figure.

On matters of the Great Game! Since the Cheese monger storylet I fell in love with this Faction, at the point of Aligning my character with it at the first chance, but I’ currently only at 35-ish. I always thought of grinding some at the Wry Functionary’s, but my profitable career as a zailor got the best part of my time at the moment ^^

Part of why I felt the need to grind up to 150 was because I was already aligned with the Great Game. I mean, being aligned with the Great Game but only “Enmeshed” in it seemed downright silly. Plus, those dandies are a bore. Well-dressed, lovely bores. But still, boring.

(Actually, raising the Great Game also raises your influence with the Society popinjays XD) It makes sense… I should do it too, but I always find better things to do first (currently I’m completing my collection of Neathy Pokémon while amassing a fortune for an Overgoat… I’m around 3600 Echoes right now.)

Personally, I prefer simply using the Church conflict card. Sure, it may be a little uncommon, but it does raise Connected: The Great Game by 30 or so points - better than 2cp/action, at least.

Oh, that! Well, that’s useful, but I try to keep all Connections high because you can never know when you’ll need them ^^

Yep, but if you spend one on the great game and one on the church you’ll end up earning 10 cp in both in addition to other rewards.

I like turtles. Mine is respectable.

Also, 2666 primordial shrieks.

True, but the drop rate for that card is just not fast enough. It’s a lot better to camp out at the Functionary’s house and use the card to speed things along when possible. Besides, 2CP an action is still like 2.5 levels a day if you keep at it.

I had thought about that when they tweaked the results (before, the favored faction’s Gonnected got boosted less than the unfavored one got lowered), but in the end it would have been too much of a hassle, considering that I’m not that interested in raising Connections anyway ^^
