Please forgive me for the wild post but i had not an idea where to ask. I find myself in need of any and all information that this lady can get her hands on pertaining to "A Headful of Picaresque Tales". What is this object? Can you get more? What is it’s purpose? How is it related to the bazaar and how significant is it? I would be more than grateful for any answers. Thank you noble ones.
It’s available from a card called A disgraceful spectacle. The first option just loops back to the card (and gives a Memory of Distant Shores), the second option gives you the item you are looking for, and the third option gives you a blue and shining stone. It’s a tribute to Jack Vance, a writer who died recently.
I can further report that should you, hypothetically, sell it to the Bazaar in avaricious hope of drawing the card again and so attaining great profit, you would be disappointed.
Not that I have any personal experience bearing on the matter. I would put my Headful of Picaresque Tales on my mantle, but my Bandit Chief is terribly vain, you understand, and rather menacing.
Has anyone actually got this card recently? I’m beginning to think it was a one off memorial and if you weren’t around at the time you are never going to see it.
I got it the day it was released, but that’s it. Haven’t seen it since because I have the blue stone that refuses to circle my head.
Can you obtain more than one? i was doing research for a friend but have not ran into the card myself. maybe a “timed” event perhaps?
My alt got the card early and I finally got it today.
Thank you Corran. Good to know that it is still available, I’ll keep flipping cards then;)
Kudos to this man for his inspiration. And thank you for the information from you all.you have been great.
I got the card three times total. Figured I could keep getting it, got greedy and sold off 2 Headfuls of Picaresque Tales and 1 Blue Stone. Needless to say, I haven’t seen it again. But it is definitely possible to draw it multiple times.
Good. I hope to see the card, and play it.
I once met Mr. Vance at a science fiction convention. That was in 1992, and he was ill and not terribly communicative that day. It was a pity, but at least I did get the opportunity to meet him once.
Ah excellent, this is the information I was searching for. I had hoped I could draw it again. I have a head full of tales, but I am a collector of oddities, particularly various stones and trinkets, and it has been bothering me horribly that I did not seize a shining stone from the man’s hat instead. crosses fingers Here’s hoping I stumble across him again.

Is this still around, I have never seen it:) I’m still hoping that it is just the RNG being really unkind.
It’s still around, and RNG hates us all.

I always knew that the RNG hates us, but I recently trimmed my possible Opportunity Deck and am only drawing cards in the Forgotten Quarter or Labyrinth so I might just get lucky.[li]

I’ve drawn this card at least six times, and I’ve been playing for a month and a half. :x Is it really that rare?
I’ve only had it once - got the Headful of Tales - and I think that was on the day it was released, or the day after. I thought it was just a one time thing, I didn’t realise it could be drawn again!
Might someone remind me what picture is on the front of it so I may keep an especially beady eye out?

I think I got it twice, once without nicking the stone, once with. I assumed taking the stone drove him away?
You cannot draw this card if you have either of the unique items it provides. If you want to see it again, they must be sold.

I think it was a gentleman with some stones orbiting him… In the tones of blue-violet.
