I’d go bananas trying to grind all this airag again.
It’s a pain, but since it relies on drawing the sommelier card, at least it’s spaced out a bit.
Also, with Khanate we have some new airag sources now, which is quite nice.

We get a guaranteed Favourable Circumstances to force-draw the sommelier once per week now, so traditional wine-trading is less of a hassle these days as well.
I’ve apparently been sitting on 5 Tears in addition to my one Masters’ Blood. Not sure I’ll bother maxing Twilight Smuggler, though. Maybe after I eventually get a Cider.
Seems the sources are decently profitable - I’m getting 3.8EPA for adding people to my network, is that right? Which makes this a pretty good source of the things you can get this way.
I’ve apparently been sitting on 5 Tears in addition to my one Masters’ Blood. Not sure I’ll bother maxing Twilight Smuggler, though. Maybe after I eventually get a Cider.
For me doing twilit smuggler was a no-brainer so I could finish StatueQuest ASAP. And now I have. At last!
It was worth it for reading out the list of statues in the offer requirements alone.
Welp, they’ve nerfed some options in the Khanate grind (do try to contain your shock). Intimidating a bureaucrat used to be free, but now costs 25 well placed pawns. Bloody hell, FB, can’t you leave ANYTHING alone?
As of late I start to think they’re just trolling us. At least, it would explain that story with locking outfits and some things that came later.
On the other hand, some infiltrations are now shorter: 130 progress instead of 140. For me, this is a net buff.

I’m at the Khanate right now and it seems like the respectable/glasswork set-up is still able to go 100% success with no further costs all day round, just as before. The other options that have increased costs boost your infiltrating quality by around 35-40. I’ll go another round just to confirm values and options.

Ah, well that does sound good then, I always felt like the total lack of variety in how the different options worked (sometimes even while overlapping by time of day and using the same quality) was a bit drab.
I am very happy to be able to spend items instead of actions. Even if it’s a wash in efficiency, it’s less tedious.
The Wiki indicates the ability to spend beefy items on long Intrigues. Very happy.
Really? I’ll admit that I was tired (partially due to medication) and only noticed the cost that had been added to the action.
So, of the new dreams - three appear to be drawn from Coleridge, and one from Shelley? Lashings of English Romanticism all round!
Am I right in thinking that Troubled Waters doesn’t reset any more (or only in very limited circumstances), so that island hopping is pretty much out?
Am I right in thinking that Troubled Waters doesn’t reset any more (or only in very limited circumstances), so that island hopping is pretty much out?
It only resets when you dock at a safe port. From the wiki, these are:
[ul][li]London[/li][li]Port Carnelian[/li][li]Polythreme[/li][li]The Khanate[/li][li]The Court of the Wakeful Eye[/li][li]Hunter’s Keep[/li][li]Abbey Rock[/li][li]The Chapel of Lights
[/li][/ul]
I regret absolutely nothing about using the spies grind solely for cranking out enough Airag to replenish my Master’s Blood when the cards are merciful on me. I doubt expending the new one on the new smuggling thing is worth it though, I’m just keeping my grubby mitts locked tight on it.
I doubt expending the new one on the new smuggling thing is worth it though
Seeing as it’s the only way to win StatueQuest, I strongly disagree.
Also hey, I’ve just had my first drowning and while it’s nice one (1) gift immediately ejects you to the slow river, I am slightly disappointed you are unable to use the power of Hesperidean Cider to resurrect yourself in the presence of the Fathomking. Perhaps all that happens is you come back to life under the sea, briefly, and then drown again.
