Perfect! Thank you!
Thanks to everyone for the answers! If anyone’s far ahead enough, any idea where to find a Railway Steel? Kind of feel stuck in a catch-22 for the next tier scientific investigations. Also the next equipment tune-up looks tricky-where on earth can you find more devilbone dice?
This might be upcoming, not-yet-released content. A playbill from a few months ago mentioned a new train station on the way to Hell.

Edit: Pretty sure I’m going to need a Holy Relic of the Thigh of Saint Fiacre.

In case you don’t have it yet, petitioning the Dean for a new experiment and finishing the research with the expensive option (make up its origin) gave me this result 2 out of 2 so far.[/quote]
So, I’ve just done this, and acquired myself a Holy Relic of the Thigh of Saint Fiacre.
Along with that was a message that I’ve learned "a new route: The Bone Market", with mention of Watchmaker’s Hill. However it doesn’t appear on the map itself, nor is there an option in Watchmaker’s Hill to go to the market. Am I missing something? Is there another requirement that I need to fulfill first before the market’s actually visible?
It’s in the Department of Menace Eradication, not Watchmaker’s.
Huh. The note on the Myself tab also specifically mentions Watchmaker’s Hill only-- I didn’t realize it was a level ‘down’, as it were. I guess the market’s too exclusive to advertise itself. Thanks! Found it now.
I happen to have more than enough Devilbone Dice lying around and have the 1000 First City Coins, currently working on the 10 Justificande Coins. The dice seem to be mostly from bundles, no quick way to farm them.
However the explosives upgrade unlocked the Infernal Machine research, which seems to be needed for producing many tracks later, so it would be strange if the formula itself was locked behind the upgrade after that. Wouldn’t be surprised if that content isn’t available yet.
Also haven’t fully upgraded Monstrous Anatomy and Toxicology caps to 7 yet, has anyone done so to see if there’s more locked behind those?

That sounds honestly sounds like a bug rather than intended behavior.

I got the lab fully upgraded now, and while it does unlock more research projects it doesn’t appear to have anything to do with the Railway Steel.
Still don’t know what the survey data research is for. Also got an Ivory Humerus from the Bohemian Sculptress (in exchange for the fruit) which I haven’t found a use for either.
This feels like becoming a POSI for the first time all over again. And I mean that in a good way! :)
An almost-overwhelming number of new short- and long-term goals have all opened up at once. They all require simultaneous development of new items, new resources, new locations, and even new stats! An entire new economy to be developed! I have no idea how any of this even works! I just blew something up, and I’m like 70% sure that’s progress!
Why does acessing Parabola consistently cause the servers to fall over?
I just want a goddamn Thigh Bone!

I know and coupled with the ambition it is, like you say being a posi over again for the first time, so many goals, so many things (of course the 250 action grind for shiny gems for light fingers is annoying, but still beats marrying Edward
I’m kind of annoyed that I have to re-grind my Monstrous Anatomy and Glasswork from scratch in order to get a decent chance to catch the Storm-Bird, but it doesn’t matter too much in the long term.
It feels weird having so much to do after mindlessly grinding Echoes for such a long time. I was hoping I could complete all of the Lab and Base-Camp content before Heart’s Desire comes out, but that doesn’t seem to be possible after learning that I have to train up to 30 students for the best Lab progress rate. At the very least, its fun to figure out what will be available in the future.
Looking forward to the predicted update in May.
I have been playing two days straight, with a Fate-bought candle too, and I just got into Parabola - though i had an abundance of echoes and resources. Love that!
Unfortunately, Parabola causes both Mozilla and Chrome to crawl. Takes ages to spend an action. I understand others have had the same problem?

I’m not sure it’s a Mozilla/Chrome thing. The servers just keep dying because everyone’s at home

I agree with Midnight Voyager. I find the game slow, and I got bounced out of FL a few times, but I think that’s just due to volume, as I was able to get back in soon afterward.
And thanks to Failbetter for opening a whole new area of high-level content for those of us who’ve been in Fallen London for over a decade to enjoy!
Aw yeah, the Basecamps are available now :D
I was afraid that the expensive Base Camp would open with too little content inside, somehow like the Dilmun Club. It was a wonderful surprise to have the fee waived and that much content to explore - especially now!
