Your crew groan as an island heaves into view, guarded by a mouth of snaggling rocks. Your ship could endure their bite on better days. Today, you have no room for mistakes.
A lost ship has been sighted off Wolfstack Docks – again! It is absent its crew, but very much contains a hold full of improperly stored, highly unstable explosives. The Admiralty is once more calling for inadvisably fearless zee captains to transport the cargo to a decommissioning site.
Arrange to pick up your own shipment of volatile cargo from Your Cabin when moored in London. Try not to blow up.
Is this the event that has a follow-up Part 2 where a Disgruntled Lorn-Fluke shows up in London waters, with an opportunity to grind Officially Recognised Valorous Deeds?
That’s what happened last time. I thought the matter was settled, from which I can only infer that now we’re dumping tons of explosives onto a different unseen, pelagic threat.
Well, it’s the same Ordnance Depôt as last time round, so I don’t think the effects will be too much different… I wouldn’t expect the Admiralty to learn from its mistakes anyway.
A rerun of what happened previously? Just about a year after the first try? So that people who missed it the first time could have a go at it? I’m sure it’s just a coincidence and this time absolutely everything will go as planned.
Does anyone else always (attempt to) read this thread title to the tune of The Time Warp?
Edit: There’s just a dock to your left And then a hulk to your right Put the bombs on your ship And pack the crates in tight Then there’s the giant fluke That’s been driven insa-a-a-aaane Let’s dump the Time Bombs again! Let’s dump the Time Bombs again!
