[li]right so i have heard people s__t loads about the council but the thing is in game I’ve found basically nothing is this a fate locked story? or is it related to the cave of nadir? (which i got to a long ass time ago but haven’t drummed up the motivation to go through the work to be able to go in there) i don’t want spoilers about them id just like to be pointed in the right direction if its isn’t a hassle for anybody (:
The Calendar Council consist of revolutionaries. Revolutionaries are illegal. They don’t want people to find them, so they find you.
A lot of the information is fate locked or seasonal (the Haunted Doctor’s story around Hallowmass is where much of our information on the DTC and the council comes from)
Off the top of my head the best place to go for most information on the council are the Affluent Photographer grind which gives some basic information, the Cave of Nadir and the Bag a Legend ambition. If you don’t mind spending fate there are also the Calendar Code exceptional story and I believe also the Lost in Reflections ES although I haven’t played it.

There’s also Sunless Sea, or Bag a Legend Ambition content. But in short, the Calendar Council is basically the higher-ups of the Revolutionaries faction and their appearances are scattered in many stories.
For most part, though, the Calendar Council is represented by a lady clown known as February.
They are probably 12 of them, and they are essentially the nobles of the new world order.
The Calender Council is the tippy-top of one branch of revolutionaries, a sect of anarchists who pursue the Liberation of Night. The gist of it is that if sunlight enforces natural laws, then light is oppressive and must be extinguished - including the light of the sun and stars. I think there’s some rather substantial flaws in the ideology. How much of the electromagnetic spectrum is to be wiped out? Infrared light wavelengths are necessary for fire to be hot and for sunlight to be warm. A bit farther down the spectrum and radio emissions are silenced as well. Not to mention that anarchy allows someone more powerful than you to impose laws of their own design, and they may be much worse than the powers you already live under.
They are probably 12 of them
Unless the Neath has unique months along with its unique colors. Like Gantuary, or Cosmojune.

If I need some lore information, I go the I am a Candle Tumblr. If not for that, most of it would have flown right over my head.
