Is there an extension for a mobile browser that allows displaying qualities? I wish Burgundian Beneficence and Against Time and Kings were in the sidebar when I am in Burgundy…
I am stuck on Ambition: Nemesis. I have it at 9. I can’t progress in the Shuttered Palace because I don’t have the state from the Gaoler’s Honey. If I choose the Retreat option, it sends me to the Forgotten Quarter, but the only relevant option there seems to be to continually search the ruins - which doesn’t get me anything useful. What am I missing?

According to the wiki you can instead spend 1 uncanny incunabulum at that point , if you are stuck at providing a password in the Shuttered Palace. You can create uncanny incunabulae by upconverting mystery items in your inventory (beware of multiple up-conversion branches) or from a variety of other storylets that are mentioned on the wiki page for the item.
What’s the level of “Ambition: Nemesis - Forgotten Quarter”? If it’s at 5 then your next step’s at the University (although if I’m reading the wiki correctly, the Retreat option should be locked if you’ve got to 5 which suggests there should be an unlocked Storylet in the Forgotten Quarter… do you have the 5th City Stories seciton collapsed?).
How’s your Dangerous? It looks like you need it to pass the Nemesis option in the Forgotten Quarter.
The storylet is called “Shadows lie black in the moonish light”
If you can’t see it I suggest a Bug report.
But doing that storyline is optional as there is another route through in the Shuttered Palace, for that you just need a set of Workman’s clothes
As someone who avenged their loved one, I strongly advise getting an Uncanny Incunabulum and not taste the gaolers honey. It’s a horrible experience.
As the player behind the above character, I strongly advise to taste it. It’s an eye-opening experience.
If you intend to do the former, I advice to convert up Tales of Terror (from the Fighting Rings in Watchmakers Hill for example) into Extraordinary Implications and those into an Uncanny Incunabulum. You would need a total of 150 Tales of Terror and some connections at Summerset and Benthic, but those can be easily gained at the university.
If you intend to do the latter and have no further options in the forgotten quarter, there should be a storylet at the university called Ambition: Nemesis - the Junior Fellow or Brewing up Gaoler’s Honey. If you have neither and don’t have a Drop of Gaoler’s Honey in your inventory, something went wrong.
