Does anyone know what happens to the gifts in your inbox after the festival ends?
Does it stays there to be collected at your fancy or does it disappears?

They stay as long as you, or at least the person who gave them to you, desires. Or at least that’s the impression I got from Mr Eaten still not accepting the seven jars of teeth I sent him.

The gifts aren’t feast-specific items that disappear after the festival ends. You can keep them indefinitely. The Golden Spiked Rosary is even the best-in-slot* BDR item, and at one point I was willing to pay the fate for that alone.
*excluding items from at/near the end of an ambition and SMEN
