Here’s this week’s thread for any Fallen London questions you don’t want to start a whole thread for!
Rather new player- what is an abundance of Nodules Of Warm Amber going to be good for, and why are they unsellable?
Warm Amber can be very useful when constructing skeletons for the Bone Market, as they allow you to add extra limbs to the skeleton and duplicate certain skeleton parts. Warm Amber can also be sold for Stuiver once you reach the Firmament.
Neither the Bone Market and Firmament can be considered early game content though, so you might not need to grind large amounts of Warm Amber right now unless you know you’ll use them in the future.
[I wandered off from The Case of the Missing Moll (to engage in Hallowmas) while writing the short story and now, I don’t seem to be able to deliver the finished article. I’m wondering what I could have missed. Even the Society seems to have vanished from Veilgarden. Any help much appreciated.]
Turns out I took the wrong exit from the process. Please disregard.
Adding to what the other poster said, currently you can give Warm Amber to Rubberies on their faction card. They’ll give you back both a Favour (which you can spend on raising Renown, among other things), and a Nodule of Trembling Amber (which you can sell for nice money). That action is so good I still use it even as a very lategame player.
