Here’s this week’s thread for any Fallen London questions you don’t want to start a whole thread for!
When do the urchins start selling Lacre? On the wiki it says Advent, but we’re in Advent and it’s not on my Urchin card yet. I did have the card in my hand before Advent started, but that shouldn’t affect it, should it?
No, that should not affect it. The requirement reads “Christmas Season 3-7” and we are currently at 1. (I have pinned the action as a plan and can therefore check the requirement. An unlikely foresight on my part.)
The post regarding Christmas said that Lacre will begin to fall on 8th of December. I think that will also mean that the Urchins will sell the good stuff.
Probably when the Empress sees the Christmas Tree, we will get snowfall. And someone will throw a snowball at the Empress.
Me, if no one else volunteers for it.
I don’t think they start selling it before the first “official” snowfall, which will begin in a week’s time. Not sure, but it would make sense. They can’t sell lacre when there isn’t any.
I agree that it’s most likely tied to SNOWBOUND!, which the announcement said will start on the 8th.
The “Christmas Season” world quality not the same as Advent. It’s more like the “phases” of Christmas, it’s used to gate storylets that aren’t tied to specific days like the Advent Calendar is. I think level 1 unlocks Christmas cards, level 3 unlocks SNOWBOUND!, 4 is Christmas itself, 5-6 is Sacksmas and Pennstock, and it stays at 7 through most of January.
Thanks all! Not time for panic-buying yet, I guess. ![]()
I am confused because I have received two in-game Christmas cards so far from in-game friends but I cannot reciprocate (yet?) because although the Christmas cards are in my inventory they do not have the appearance of inventory items I can use (in this case, by sending them). As near as I can tell they will be sendable on December 2, but I still can’t figure out how I got cards from other players (unless said players live IRL near the International Date Line) in the afternoon hours of Dec. 1 EST.
EDIT. Never mind; I read the text more closely, and I need to send cards from “Social Engagements” which wasn’t the case previously. Sorry if I confused anybody.
