Here’s this week’s quick questions thread!
Any word on when Hallowmas might start?
Is anyone else having trouble speaking with the Keeper of the Menagerie in Balmoral? I can no longer turn in observations.
Er, how do I max Shadowy to 212 with the new content ? Thanks a lot in advance…
Special storylet in Parabola Camp (Search Parabola for a Place in the Neath). You need 200 unmodified Shadowy to start and some materials. And 203, 206, 209 unmodified Shadowy for next steps, plus sometimes some materials.

Got it ! Thanks a lot
Spoilery question: Does anyone recall what a Sun-Stamped Mirrorcatch Box does? I feel as though I should remember, but have gone senile.
You can open it and take a hit of sunlight. If I’m remembering right, there’s a chance that you have a bad batch with some moonlight, which will give you A Touch of the Upstairs.
Okay, it’s not senility. Or maybe it is. I am baffled by both of these. :)

So there’s a Mirrorcatch Box, which is a weapon from Knife-and-Candle.
And there’s the Sun-Stamped Mirrorcatch Box, which is related to Cut With Moonlight, an Exceptional Story from a while back. Using the Sun-stamped one will give you the regular one. And if you take a hit laced with moonlight, you can then travel to different locations in London and see a vision of London under moonlight. (Warning: not happytimes.)

Ahhh, thanks! I think I came across the ES in one of the new ES popups - and found that it produces an option on the Society card.
I’m doing my first proper Lab experiment - Formula for perfumed gunpowder. I need Parabolan Research for that though and don’t have the Basecamp yet? How else can I get Parabolan Research?
If it’s impossible - why do they make the Formula experiment available before having access to Parabola? :: (It would be quite a waste of Lab Research grind to abandon this experiment now!)
My Lab Equipment is at 4 btw. Can’t upgrade it without Perfumed Gunpowder… And this alt hasn’t started the Railway venture yet.
(My staff: the Mercy, the Numismatrix, and options for the Grubby Urchin or the Artist.)
You can start it through "Find a Route to Parabola" under beginning research, or otherwise if you have Light Fingers/Heart’s Desire they’ll let you establish it. Finally, if you’re a Silverer you can do it yourself at the Honey Dens of Veilgarden.
so there’s no way around it, I need to get to Parabola first to finish this experiment which needs Parabolan Research? (it would have been nice of them to tell you that beforehand…)
But if I get there as a Silverer, I can skip the "Find a Route" experiment, and still get Parabolan Research, right? So I won’t have to abandon this current experiment?
That’s right. You can also become an exceptional friend and buy the fate locked companion for parabola research.
Are dreadful surprises unobtainable without fate once you’ve got acquaintance: captivating princess at 2? Trying to map out what lab experiements are possible for me to get.
Oh, and I’m trying to figure out what’s up with the kitchen in Station VIII. But based on the wiki, all the various fancy meals all give the same rewards - moon-pearls and a bit of scrip, is that right? (I don’t really need wounds or nightmares reduction). So the difference between the meal paths is just how hard it is to get the materials vs how much it pays out in culinary ingredient value?

Advanced Orange-Apple recipes promise to raise your quirks, but so far noone has finished any of them, apparently.
Is the Veteran Revolutionary that one can build a statue to at Station VIII the same as the one on the "Which Meeting?" card? (I ask because his disposition regarding the Liberation of Night may determine whether or not I commission that statue.)

D’you know, I’m wondering the same myself - the Veteran from the that card is described using she/her pronouns, while the art for the statue is the generic revolutionary with the big sideburns. But, there’s no reason anyone couldn’t have both she/her pronouns and big sideburns! Still, I’d be keen to see the text if anyone else has already commissioned such a statue.
