Here’s this week’s thread for any Fallen London questions you don’t want to start a whole thread for!
I faintly remember someone from FBG hinting at a revision of how An Advanced Arts Advancement might be handled in the future, but I couldn’t find it. I was just recently annoyed (again) at the clash of The Matter Before the People’s Parliament and The Waters of the Wellspring and wondered whether there was anything concrete about possibilities to drop boons that deny the acquisition of other boons.
I’ve been wondering this for a while, but is there any actual use for my puzzle-damask scraps, or any way to turn them into currency?
Sell directly at the bazaar, or convert (extremely slowly) to tribute or via the starved embassy?
You can give one to the Starved Men, too, once a week. Which will usually give you more than the scrap’s value in other items, unless my math is horribly wrong.
EDIT: ah, robm mentioned that already, I over looked the last few words of their message, oops
Offering Damask at the Starved Embassy is good for increasing the “A Shaper of Starved Culture” vanity quality.
If you care about profit, however, offering an Extraordinary Implication is much better, even with the extra Scandal.
Offering Damask for Tribute isn’t very good either: you can get Tribute more efficiently by selling Damask at the Bazaar to buy Orphans.
In the end, the only profitable repeatable use of Damask is just selling at the Bazaar.
