Upcoming Balance Changes to Fallen London

This was part of the rebalancing pact changes, I believe. It is one of the most inconvenient changes as far as I’m concerned, at least until Shadowy and Dangerous increase the cap to 215 as well, so that I don’t permanently lose the overcap…

I have the 15 Notability to spend, I’d just rather not. But year I spent all my Taste of Lacre on Vials of Tears of the Bazaar on that one Nadir card, so I’m contemplating taking the plunge anyway. Maybe they’ll raise the cap soon, and I won’t have to stay under capped very long or spend the Notability.

Yeah, I’m on the same boat. Getting Notability from my current 11 to 15 would hardly be a challenge, but I don’t want to bother with the tedium.

The &quotfree&quot Tear-Vials are rather tempting, though.
Anyway, the mechanical difference between 212 and 215 of a stat is mostly nonexistent. It’s rather aestheticly pleasing to have such a nice round number.

Helps you get to new Renown levels! (Which themselves have no mechanical implications.)

Revolutionaries used to…

(Which is the reason I raised it to 51 instead of leaving it at 40 like all the others.)

This announcement didn’t include, and I neglected to go to the source (the FL blog post), that Chess, Sparring, and Dining would be retired in January. Ahhh!! Noooo - my favourite social action! Also, my goal of maxing the Mastery of the Game will likely remain unfulfilled…

I mean, if they don’t work properly and they have to be retired…so be it…but I’m still disappointed.

Anyone for a last game of chess before it’s gone, invite me! :)
