Turncoat - Pugilism and Politics.

There’s an action on the card &quotAn Implausible Penance&quot which costs 7 Criminals favours and provides a Magnificent Diamond (which I would then convert into Fabulous Diamonds via Fate.)

Getting the Magnificent Diamond is a grind I’ve done more times than I can count, and I have the action bookmarked so that I always know which option to select on the card when it shows up.

Today, however, I was on my phone, scrolled down and hit the button - same as usual. But then the page scrolled and I selected the other option…
And gained a point of Turncoat. -_-

Losing 8 actions and 7 cards worth of effort isn’t great, but is a recoverable loss. But I haven’t yet seen a way to remove Turncoat.

Is this like the Criminal Record, where it can’t really be recovered from? Or is it like other menace traits where there are ways to drop back down a point to 0?

Just how badly have I messed this up by playing FL on my phone? :-(

You did not. To erase Turncoat you need to raise it to 4 first, then erase it in Spite. It’s cheap.

Nothing bad with level 1 and you can remove it at level 4 in Spite with few Rev favours.

Thankyou! :-D

I admit I feel bad about beating the poor Minister. It is outrageously out of character for Jolanda. If there was another way to dispose of criminal favors - or if I could align myself with the faction, I would prefer it. Or maybe I should go full RP and suffer the consequences.

There is another way, now, to use Criminal Favours! You can spend 5 of them at the Court of the Wakeful Eye (in the Labyrinth of Tigers) to send a convict who doesn’t mind being hunted by tigers for Tribute.

You can also use 1 Criminal favour to get into the expedition: Seek a Thieves’ Cache , in the Forgotten Quarter.
It is a quick&modest (10steps) expedition, but I think it’s worth it.

You can also spend 5 to go for the Heist: the Balaustraded House
