Travel woes

Is anyone else unable to travel? I’m stuck in my lodgings. Applies to both Firefox and Vivaldi.

Nor can I discard cards in Firefox or even click on them in Vivaldi…

404 server errors when calling the APIs. A refresh fixes the issue related to cards.

It’s not affecting Chrome running on Linux Mint. But maybe I just powered through it–I had a hard time making a click register a few minutes ago. Try Skinnyman’s advice; it might help anyway.

Thanks, Skinnyman & Catherine.

Olivia actually managed to get to it last night; I followed her advice, and it’s all back to normal this a.m.

Ι cannot open Fallen London on Mozilla at all. Only chrome and my android phone.

Hello!

If anyone is still having problems, it may be you’re running a cached version of the site - we put a new version out yesterday.
The version of the site you should be running is Version v3.12.10-65-g4ef7590b. (Visible on the bottom of the site on desktop, in the menu on mobile.)
If it’s different to this you may need to hard refresh or clear your browser cache.

If this still doesn’t help - please send me a ticket: support@failbettergames.com

Thanks!

I find myself having to refresh in order to travel and in order to delete cards.

Constantly? Have you tried a hard refresh? Ctrl+F5. If that doesn’t work - please send in a ticket and we’ll have a look.

Apologies for the report! I have no idea whom I reported either!

Thanks. I did a clear cache after you mentioned it. See what happens this a.m. And it wasn’t constantly, but more than once per session.

Ctrl+F5 did not work for me. Argh.
Ctrl+F5 did not work for me. Argh.
You mean you still have the old version? Depending on the browser, this may require the Shift key too (I think all do); Ctrl+Shift+F5.
You can check the dev tools (F12) from where you select Network tab. Be sure to view all requests and see the difference between Ctrl+F5 and Ctrl+Shift+F5; nothing must be obtained from cache. In Chrome, for example, you can open dev tools and right click on the refresh button and select Empty cache and hard reload; it’s the last option.

Another technique that’s sometimes necessary to reset some things is … open it in a new browser tab. (As in, CTRL-T to open new tab, then enter/copypaste url into urlbar)

If you’re still having issues, please do email us. (Though our tech person is ill today, so it might be Monday before you’re fixed.)

I will. Nothing has worked so far. I have to play either on Chrome or on my phone (so Chrome again).

The cache clearing worked for me, thank you. Fingers crossed, Jolanda!
