The Lore of Arbor

Since by now the majority of players has had the opportunity to draw the card and play through the storyline, what do you gather happened in Arbor? How did the citizens escape? Where is the Third Arbor located? What do the Fingerkings have to do with the whole thing?

And what about Attar? Google tells me it’s &quota fragrant essential oil, typically made from rose petals&quot, but Attar is also the name (pseudonym) of the Sufi poet who wrote The Conference of Birds, about an imaginary esoteric journey to the heart of wisdom.

So much to unfold!

Good research with the Sufi poet.

Well, there is a building with chains on the doors, and roses everywhere.
I suspect that is where the Rosers did go. Seems like they did a transgression…

But what about the Arbori of today?
Best guess: some of the citizens of the 3rd or 4th city, that escapes into this near-Parabolan realm in the momentous Falling of the next city.
Arbor is open… to judge who the Arbori want to recruit…

Heh, if I have 20K Whispered Hints, 9K Cryptic Clues, and 1 Impossible Theorem, my character is supposed to be wise, right? (I have Searing Enigmas too, one is the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise XD :p )

What I most wonder about, is what is their relationship with the Fingerkings. Did they strike a deal? Are they possessed?

I feel like they would be friendlier if they were possessed. I would go for a deal in the past, perhaps in the founding of arbor, but something soured. Something soured big time.
What I would also like to now is what people think about the two classes of citizens? Is everyone fated to be in far-arbor eventually or is the near-arbor just making sure to deprive the far-arbor to maintain their workforce?

It seems to me that those of sufficient imagination would eventually find their way to Far Arbor. But imagination is a talent in itself so… many people would stay behind even without Far-Arbor intervention.

The Spy on the London Embassy option has the guards of London’s embassy secretly mark musicians and performers to the Huzzite Guard, and upon the next day, those marked (the entire square) are gone. It may be that they were promoted, so to speak, to Far Arbori, or something more sinister entirely…

Do you think the third Arbor is a nightmare of a place? I understand you see people in the ruins there?

Well, it seems that this Hallowmas we are going to learn about a very different Queen, and not about Arbor. Never mind: the card has a lot to unpack still. Perhaps Shoshana will make another appearance?
