I feel that something special is going to happen to our characters based on our Shared a Phantasie of the Bazaar qualities. I figure if so that it will track how many dreams you’ve had, who you’ve spent the most time with or some combination of the two. Maybe the special items that people of the right professions get have something to do with it? I’m plan to keep dreaming, whatever the case.
Edited to note that the Merchant’s storylet changes descriptions the more times you use her service to note that I’m a frequent customer. It’ll be interesting to see how it changes as the dreams continue. edited by Lord Garuda on 2/9/2020
OK, I confirmed, this really applies to fate gifts, you will get fate gifts that have not been sent, but fate will not be returned edited by chiche on 2/9/2020
Just to be clear, all Viric dreams will give Magnificent Diamonds at the end of the third dream, regardless of Profession.

Ahh, thanks. But my Midnighter seems to have married the Bishop this time by mistake. I sense a very expensive collector’s item in his future. Assuming he’s not bankrupted by the Feast and his Ambition …
After a few days, I finally was able to explore all of the high-tier Profession options (Midnighter, Licentiate, Crooked Cross, Monster-Hunter) across the viric dreams with one character. I can’t say it was worth it, but I have a lot of items and Scheme to spare.
For completionists, I recommend only going for the Bishop of Southwark -Crooked Cross pathway and the Gracious WIdow - Midnighter pathway, as those have event-specific items. Unless you REALLY want scintillack and a devilbone die, don’t switch Professions to Monster-Hunter or Licentiate if you are not one already.
Cheery Man – Licentiate gets a Devilbone Die, which are rare but not exclusive to this event.
Bishop – Crooked Crosses get a Justificande Coin.
Sinning Jenny – Monster Hunters get a Knob of Scintillack, which are not exclusive to this event.
At the end of the third dream, you get a Magnificent Diamond regardless of dream-spouse or Profession. edited by The Curious Watcher on 2/9/2020
Sigh. I was hoping for an unusual reward, but my character is a Correspondent, so there was none to be had. :-(
The text indicates there’s a number of other names in their catalogue that aren’t up for sale, so presumably they’ll update the roster with new names every year or so, like the Incarnadine Robe.
Also, perhaps the equivocation of the coin and the gunpowder with the devilbone die and the scintillack indicates that they’re going to be added to the game elsewhere in the future? I know something like this was already done with Flint, where a bunch of little items like stygian ivory and royal blue feathers were added as minor rewards in that story first, then distributed throughout new content over the next few years. edited by Gul al-Ahlaam on 2/9/2020

One thing I found really interesting was the Justificande Coin, as I only know of one reference to it from a Ambition teaser. edited by The Curious Watcher on 2/9/2020

Thank you! I’m off to change professions now!
Does anyone know which are the new gifts for this season and whether any are best in slot?
But there does seem to be a new joke. At least His Amused Lordship asked if I’d heard the one about the Drownie and the Starveling Cat. I have not. Have any of you? And is it repeatable in arguably respectable (yes, I use the term VERY loosely) company?
Happy feast all! I am happy to exchange gifts with anyone as well, please send them over and let me know if there is a specific gift you’d like in exchange!

I feel like the Justificande Coin might be an item that a Heart’s Desire player will have to get to progress, so someone who got if from the trance dream can jump past that step. It shares an icon with First City coins, the poker chips used in the Marvelous. A further connection is that First City coins are gifted in sets of 30, a reference to Judas trading Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. The source and the stamped message "ONE DAY YOU WILL FORGIVE" makes me imagine that it’s some kind of religious relic related to Judas’ betrayal. If someone has an echo of that option, I’d love to see exactly how the conversation went down. I have no idea how this would work in the Marvellous, but that seems the most likely ambition its related to.

The action that gives the coin: Fallen London
The conclusion of the dream-trance: Fallen London
You were probably expecting something more decisive. I expect the Bishop was as well. Which is why that was not the approach that was taken.
