The Feast of the Rose 1898

Looks like soon I’ll have to find it within myself to put aside my personal dislike Freud for the games sake. I haven’t even been able to use his card, even though now he actually knows things, since I found out about Dr. Schlomo’s real world counterpart.

I’m very excited for a Sunless Skies reference! I’m defently going to spend the Fate for this one.

I am most interested in trading gifts; it may take me a little while, as I have some grinding to do, but I will reciprocate!

Greetings, delicious fellow Fallen Londoners!
As the Season of Love and Scorn comes upon us and Bazaar lovingly-ish envelopes us in it’s fungal tentacles, I am ready, willing and able to engage in the customary gift exchange.

Any non-Fate gift will be reciprocated with a non-Fate gift of equal Masquing value. If you wish a specific non-Fate gift in exchange, please specify this in your message. Be aware, however, that requesting a specific gift may result in a delayed return gift (depending on whether or not I have a sufficient amount of the necessary resource to acquire the specific gift). I am not made of Prisoner’s Honey or Inklings of Identity!

I am open to exchanging Fate gifts. If you are interested, send me a message in Fallen London (preferably via a non-Fate gift, I will respond in kind) and we can work out the specific details.

In Character messages are preferred but not required.

Happy Feasting, delicious compatriots!

Best Regards,
MrScribble
I’m interested in trading a single Exile’s Rose with someone.

This looks to be one of the most exciting Feasts ever!
One of my associates has fulfilled your wish.

Sent to that Associate. If I’ve misunderstood, PM me and I’ll a rose to your choice of being. It’s not a problem.

Oh, these roses are lovely. Thank you, Failbetter.

Should anyone be interested in trading Fate Gifts I’d be more than happy to reciprocate.

The leftover Masquing was in fact an error, so please don’t count on any you have left after this year’s Feast remaining until next year!

This year there are a handful of new companions to choose from, available in exchange for Masquing:

[ul][li]Develop a more personal rapport with Dr Schlomo
I do wonder how this will work out with his cards. :)

Based on my own experiences, and the testimony of others, it does in fact appear that the Profession aligns to the Dream-Spouse.

Unique content for the Bishop at the link below. Unique reward on my mantle (no in-game effect).

“Skin-bound memories!

How better to prove your devotion than through permanent ink? High time for a visit to Clathermont’s Tattoo Parlour!

A unique story involving the Neath’s famed tattooists is available for the duration of the Feast.

Find the Clathermonts in Ladybones Road when you have A Name in Seven Secret Alphabets at 4 or higher.

Continue this story from the same area by playing News at Clathermont’s from 13th February.”

My name quality is 7, yet I see nary a Clathermont in Ladybones Road. Am I missing something?

Or does this mean we wait until the 13th?

The beginning of this storyline is part of the regular Making Your Name adventures, and is available year-round. You probably already played it. The continuation becomes available during the second week of Feast of the Rose.

Ahhh, thanks!

Does offering others gifts, then cancelling no longer net you the gift that was to be sent? I tried it with a couple of items but can’t find them in my inventory.
I think this was only implemented for fate-bought gifts.
Can someone confirm that this still works for Fate-gifts?

I’m willing to confirm, but I’m currently in the ES location, and when I come back, I will test it tomorrow.

What are the unique rewards for the professions? I’m curious but don’t want to have to drop mine and grind favours just to learn what happens.

What should a collector do to maximize unique items? I’m interested in the stories too of course but the completionist in me wants to get everything.

Gracious Widow – Midnighter gets Perfumed Gunpowder.

Cheery Man – Licentiate gets a Devilbone Die, which are rare but not exclusive to this event.

Bishop – Crooked Crosses get a Justificande Coin.

Sinning Jenny – Monster Hunters get a Knob of Scintillack, which are not exclusive to this event.

At the end of the third dream, you get a Magnificent Diamond regardless of dream-spouse or Profession.

Glassman received the diamond with Sinning Jenny, too.
