I am pleased that the doctor enjoyed my character’s modest (and not at all creepy) request.[li]
Quite wondrous! I am of a mind to hunt some rats to send to the poor Doctor.
Just so folks know, the Doctor’s adventures will continue, but I just started a new full-time job, so my free time has been rather more limited for the past week! But, things are getting in hand - all shall be well, and all manner of people shall be made well.
Congratulations on the new job. I look forward to the continuation of the doctor’s story whenever you have the time.
Just letting folks know - as I’ve had some queries - that I’m 1,856 words into Part Ten, and hope to share it with you all very soon! If not tonight, then within the next day or so, barring some calamity.
The Most Boring Man in Fallen London, Part Ten, in which the doctor is an unwitting wild card in half a dozen of the Neath’s finest schemers’ schemes! This one turned out quite longer than I planned, so it’s more of an epistolary bringing-up-to-date than I’d entirely intended. What I’d imagined would follow - concerning Fallen London’s more direct and brutal rogues - will instead make up Part Eleven!
Good to hear news of the doctor!
Sounds interesting!
I shall also write letters to Doctor.
Wahoooooooooo! I showed up! :D
I must now contemplate what further invitations to extend.
I’m guessing that mine’s not been accepted he’s had too many calling cards? Or wasn’t interesting enough? Can’t remember what I wrote!
(Sniff, sniff, cry cry)

i recommend sending rats as a surefire way of catching attention. i’m doing it right now!!
While this thread has been bumped, I just want to say that the good Doctor’s adventures may have been a part of my decision to finally make an account on the forums. I have no regrets.
I beg forgiveness, folks; we’ve been ill round our way, and in no congenial mood for writing. But, we’re taking a holiday this weekend, which shall hopefully afford the time I need to bring you up to speed with the doc! Remain assured that no calling-card shall go ignored; I may simply need to delay until I can incorporate them into the narrative.
Part Eleven is here! In which the doctor considers a change of premises, undertakes a spot of gardening, and tangles with London’s criminal element.
So good to hear of the good doctor’s further adventures and I do hope that he finds lodgings more to his liking soon.
It was awesome! I shall rewrite my letter. I don’t like the one that i sent.
My next story that connects to the calling card will be sent after you accept my calling card. I will send next story using private supper.

Ah! Wonderful! S.F. will be in contact with Taupe-Wainscot regarding their mutual acquaintance at their–that is, Ferenczy’s–earliest convenience.
Busybusybusy… and, I have to admit, I’m not quite sure where to go next with the Doctor. I’d like to level him up a bit, and I’ll have to plan which content is too brave and daring for him. Say, what would folks think of him going to zee for a spell, using content from Sunless Sea’s upcoming Early Access release? Perhaps a pleasure-cruise on a friend’s boat, interrupted to a moderate degree by pirates, zee-bats and the loss of the best dinner-service to a felonious but well-mannered crab?
Oh, that would be marvelous. Although I fear he’d be quite distressed by it all.
