I’ve been re-re-re-watching one of my favourite series from my childhood in the '60’s - Dark Shadows. And something suddenly struck me about the artwork for devils in Fallen London: it looks a HELL of a lot like Nicholas Blair warlock-often-implied-to-be-more played by the late great character actor Humbert Allen Astredo.
So now I’m wondering if this is coincidence, or if the VERY memorable portrayal of a charming, suave, dapper visitor from the Infernal Realm was an inspiration, and the artwork is a tip of the fedora to an inspired performance.
