I drew an opportunity card after siding with the PB but I emptied my hand before I could try the options on it.
From memory, the card was called "A nightmare" (requiring Nightmares 5) with two options: 1) listen to your clock (sounds like it could reduce your nightmares) and 2) follow the drums from the Prince-Bishop (requiring Dangerous 110)
I am in complete agreement with this. It just doesn’t feel necessary. It certainly doesn’t feel disingenuous to me for stories that cost the same amount to have varying levels of material reward, or for a story to drain (cheap, easily replaced) items and not offer something unique in return.
For what it’s worth, the two stories we have so far feel very experimental and refreshing compared to regular ultra padding delay storylet. The financial reward are pretty good unless you are capped, too.
I will not touch the Rubbery Murders again even if they upped the reward to 20000x Deep Amber.
Ah ha! I knew (or at least strongly suspected :-D) there would be a linked opportunity card.
So I suppose I’ll continue to delay the final decision until all 2 (or 3?) of those have been thoroughly explored.

Does anybody know if there’s special requirements to draw the Viscountess’s card? Also Nightmares 5, or maybe something else? I’d like to maximize my chances for drawing it.
If you don’t have a starveling cat you can put on a sporing bonnet and chug full tinctures of vigor. You don’t even have to buy the tinctures if you grind them in the labyrinth of tigers (the rare success there is amazing). edited by NiteBrite on 6/3/2015
Thank you! I don’t suppose you could echo (even on an unrelated storylet) what the rewards for that choice were? (Alternatively, I’d be grateful for a PM.)
Interesting… the V and PB rewards from their respective opportunity cards are of similar value, but slightly different. (And the quality you take a hit to will be different as well) edited by Televangelist on 6/4/2015
