There are times when I want to fight that spider and then there are times where I’m like &quotWell, hitting Mt. Nomad was a stupid idea…&quot

The Companion is said to spawn at 75, but from what I understand that there’s an audio cue and then a &quotSurprise Spider attack!&quot moment when it happens but here’s the thing - my Terror is at 60. I even got that ominous message saying &quotSomething has been following you. It is patient&quot which only seems to correspond with the spider.

So the question is: Does it really or does the spider now spawn at 60 Terror if you’ve fought it a few times?

It spawned on me at 70 and I hear it when I’m over 50… Maybe it’s less predictable than is generally assumed, as in, it will definitely spawn at 75 terror, but it has a chance of spawning at a lower number.

I’m pretty sure the message can appear without the Constant Companion having spawned, so I’d bet the message is triggered based on terror but appears with a lower terror threshold than necessary for the Companion to appear.

You just know that resemblance was on purpose.

Anthe also makes the same noise just to annoy you as well into thinking your terror is too high and you’ve either gotta surface or ready the cannons.
