"Indeed I am sir, a mere two or three months in the Neath." A thought flashes through his mind. Has it only been that long? The Surface feels like a lifetime away. With a quick shake of the head, he gets back in the discussion with his companion. "Still trying to find my bearings, to be honest, both in the winding roads of London, and through the winding entrapments of life in the Neath. Truly, the Surface could hardly have prepared anyone for the splendors, mysteries and terrors that lie in wait in the dark corners of the world." Then with a slight gesture of his wine glass he adds "But you sir, seem to have had considerable experience with life in the Neath, unless I am very mistaken".
"Indeed I’ve been here for about…" As he was counting his years spent in London he absentmindedly downed his glass of wine and refilled it. "Five or six years, give or take a few months, it’s hard to pin the exact date after all in New New Gate Prison one doesn’t exactly get a proper watch or a way to count the days due to the darkness of the Neath." He said with a smile as he pondered further. "What brought you to the Neath if I may be so curious? Curiosity? Banishment? A Missionary Objective? Perhaps a political agenda? Or a whimsy?" He asked with a broad smile, one didn’t truly need a reason to come to the Neath after all. And people of all manners could be found here.
A fleeting shadow passes over Thanos’ eyes, but the mask conceals most of it. "Justice, perhaps. Some might call it retribution" he seems to almost be mumbling to himself. Then he decides this line of thought is not for this place, or this time, so he smiles cordially "Apart from that, curiosity. Exploration. I’ve spent the better part of my time here deep in study of the Correspondence, and have made both friends and adversaries (enemies? not yet, probably) aplenty. At some point in the future, I may consider taking to the sea." And after a pause to refill his glass "Have you done any zailing in your years here, mr Honeyaddict?".

As the old man deals the cards Lord Gazter overhears the conversation between Mr Black and August. "Five or Six years you say well that is quite an amount of time to have spent down hear in the Neath," Lord Gazter interjects, and then takes a sip of his wine. "I myself arrived in London in '94, and I must say it was quite the eventful year."
Lord Gazter replaces his glass and gathers his cards. "I must say Mr Cannon you seem like the adventurous sort if you don’t mind me saying, and if my assumptiom is correct then you must tell me about the adventures have taken part in. I’m sure there must be a at least a few grand tales that you took part in yourself," he says discarding a two of his cards.

(OoC: Lord Gazter, I’m no longer a Canon, haven’t been for a while)
"I have indeed sailed quite a bit here, from Mutton Island to Polythreme to the Court of the Wakeful Eye and even the Iron Republic. How about yourself? You seem like a weathered Zailor yourself." Honeyaddict said with a laugh, looking at his cards and folding immediately, he refused further cards. He wasn’t one for cardgames he preferred dice, cards were too easy to cheat with even with normal cards. edited by Honeyaddict on 12/25/2019
Thanos laughs as well. "Hardly, mr Honeyaddict, unless you count my long hours of research in my steamer by the docks where I currently reside as worthy of note! However, that ship’s zailing days are far behind it. The lack of engine and most zailing equipment and paraphernalia makes ‘The Wet Blemmigan’ quite unzeeworthy. It does leave plenty of space for shelves though." He takes a long sip of his exquisite wine. "I am planning to visit the Tomb Colonies, however."

OOC: That question was was dirrected at the Old Man. He introduced himself as Mr Cannon earlier. edited by Lord Gazter on 12/25/2019
"The Tomb Colonies? Heh, depending on where I can give you a ride quite easily, the normal Tomb Colonies you can get sent to without trouble, just go insult one of the highclass people in the ballroom, set fire to a curtain and make sure to be drunk or something like that. Simply be scandalous! For the other parts of the Colonies, I know my ways there, there should be enough space aboard the Yacht if you want to tag along." He said pondering, scratching his chin in thought.
Thanos laughed heartily. "I wouldn’t dream of acting so scandalously in the good professor’s ball, just to get myself a ticket to the Colonies! Unless, of course, I DO get genuinely drunk." he added with a whimsical smile. "Your gesture however is most kind. Once I am certain about my destination and the exact whereabouts of my… mark, I might just be so bold as to take you up on your offer."

An amused smile plays on Lord Gazter’s lips. "I can’t say that I’m much of a zailor myself. I on occasion due to buisness or to go on holiday take trips to mutton island or the Iron Republic." Lord Gazter raises the ante. "My affairs are mostly found here in London." He then turns to Mr Black. "It has been a while since I last visited the tomb-colonies. Last time I went was to go and meet a friend of mine out there. If you do find yourself out there I would be in your debt if you could give Mr M________ my best wishes."
"Why, absolutely, Lord Gazter. Although it may be quite some time until I manage to get my affairs in order and actually make the trip. For the time being, I am quite content of availing myself of the kind tutelage of the old man." he adds, raising his glass in a silent toast to his mentor. edited by Thanos Black on 12/25/2019

"your too kind black I’ve truly done very little" the old man says playing an ace

(sorry about the late replies everybody sakmas got the better of me)
well for the sake of good decorum ill tell one of the lighter ones, so I was in the tomb colony’s when I bumped into a one eyed pianist… anyway it turns out he wasn’t hiding the diamond behind his eyes, but that they were his eyes and that is why I’m never going back to the republic. We’ll leave the one about the irrego hankercheif for later the old man says as he loses yet another round.
[OOC: My apologies for not replying sooner but seasonal travels have been hectic for me. Hopefully I can get to everyone who addressed me, and will be able to reply more often for the next few days.]
[OOC: My apologies for the late reply. Feel free to continue August’s conversation with Six from earlier. Or, if you prefer to continue from the present, assume introductions went amicably and we can deal Six into the card game. ;-) ]
"Why, indeed I am! Although I can assure you, fellow Honeyaddict, that only else half of the rumors you’ve heard about me are true." The scandalous detective chuckles, their red eyes full of mirth. "But what about yourself, August, for the rumors I’ve heard are quite contradictory as to whether you are a sinner or a saint. So, perhaps we could dispel some scurrilous rumors about each other while I refresh my tentacled friend’s drink?"

Ondine walks up to the new arrival, voice bright. "Do come in! Welcome to the festivities." More quietly, she adds, "And darling, are you all right?"
Odetteah’s eyes glance quickly over to the welcoming voice to see Ondine’s approach. Odetteah smiled warmly.
"Oh, thank you very much. It is a pleasure to be here." She gave a good curtsey to the woman before her. Odetteah opened her mouth to answer Ondine’s question but paused. Was she alright? Her recent encounter wasn’t something she ran into on the surface. It wasn’t even something she ran into in the Neath until today. Maybe she had some experience with this.
"I…am not sure, truthfully. I’m not even sure what it was that I crossed- it was shaped like a wolf but it’s size was just- are large wolves normal?"edited by Odetteah on 12/26/2019 edited by Odetteah on 12/26/2019

"Sounds good to me! Just do send me a message when you require a ride." He turned to his right, where the Six Handed Merchant was sat. "How about you? Any far travels besides going through the mirrors, falling into the lush paradise that is Parabola?" He touched his hand on his right pocket to feel if he still had his drinking flask with honeyed wine.
"You mean outside of any forced vacations to the Tomb Colonies?" The bohemian detective smirked. "Not at the moment, I’m afraid, as my work tends to tie me to London." Six pondered their cards for a moment before placing a small bet, while the cephalopod perched on their hat shook its head in disapproval. "But I would love to take a trip abroad! Do you have any recommendations?" Six leaned over their cards towards the Honeyaddict and smiled. "I’m sure there are many places that a Londoner should visit if they could, and I would love to hear about all of them!"

Mr august I mistook my new friend here for you earlier and I wanted to ask you a question, from a friend of mine who died in a trip in parabola I’ll spare you the details, but suffice to say I gained my bandages their. Iris laughs lightly. "You must fit in well with the bohemians! I rather enjoy their company myself." She thinks of a question for a moment. "Have you seen much of the three Arbors?" Light glints off the sparkles of Iris’ faux Attar mask. edited by Iris Sims on 12/26/2019
