One thing I find odd about looking at character profiles is that when they are married, the "Espoused To" tag doesn’t tell you who their spouse is. Probably not an important question, unless one is an inveterate gossip (who, us?). Or maybe the name could be entered if the player so chose, as with newspapers, ships, and the like.
Would it be useful if there were a registry of players who are married to other players, and would married players be interested in entering their names below, with that of their spouse? I note that many players of my acquaintance have, alas, been deserted by their mate, so would it also be useful to indicate if the spouse is active or inactive? After all, being married is certainly at least as significant as possessing a goat. Isn’t it?
In the Bazaar Side-streets you may Record the Name of your Spouse for 10 Fate. Her/his/its name "will be visible to you and anyone looking at your profile." The text indicates it works for NPC spouses; I don’t know if it works if your spouse is a fellow player. Some people use the "They Say …" to name their spouse.[li][/li][li] edited by Lady Sapho Byron on 11/24/2015
You can indeed add a name to your "Espoused to…" since it is an equipment - but I imagine having to spend fate on something like this isn’t particularly pleasing, even if you are willing to spend money.
