Dear Magnanimous Notables,
I find myself in the usual pickle afflicting Persons of Some Importance who have yet to achieve a first point of Notability – I’ve stored up a whole lot of Making Waves in the hopes of running across Slowcake’s Amanuensis (who I previously lost with a 0-action choice) and now the day of reckoning has come and I’m going to lose 150+ CP worth of Making Waves if I don’t force him to come.
Can anyone send me a point of Notability? Happy to send it back, or exchange something else like a surprise package at the nearest opportunity? I’d trade my apparently-rare Primitive Hat to you, if only I could.
Addendum: I have a Give a Gift! card just waiting to send someone nice and notable a surprise package (or second chances, rodents, or gems if you really want those things)!
…and like someone up-thread, begging for the Amanuensis here also caused me to get lucky and draw him. (With a little Fate spent in panic on deck refreshes, I must admit.) Thank you.
I can offer a pathetic little plebeian a point of notability, they’d have to plead their case most effectively though, you do have to sing for your supper after all. Getting down on your knees is optional but may provide an advantage.
Are there any generous souls here that would toss a little notability my way? Amanuensis is an evasive little b_____d. I can certainly send a gift box in return.

Many moons had passed since I went to Fallen London. There is no place on surface for me now.
Through many fights, friends, cases and zailings I finally earned some Notability. Even more, my entry in Slowcake’s Exceptionals was cross-referenced from two other entries!
But it was not enough for me. To prove myself a real hero, I decided to become An Extraordinary Mind. Well, it was not really hard for me. I sacrifice all my notability, because I understand that such type of person can easy bring it back again.
Two weeks had passed. I still sit in my Lodgings waiting for Slowcake’s Amanuensis. These weeks were reach for different events: debates in Salon, some Polite Invitations, Promenades with my Spouse, Expeditions in Forgotten Quarter and many other small doings. But he doesn’t show himself since today. Am I hurt him? Am I cross somebody’s way? Well, I think not. Is this the end of career because I’m sufficiently cool now?
UPDATE: I don’t know who did that or how it was done, but two days after my scream for help he finally showed himself at the stairs of my Lodgings. I’m satisfied. All well that ends well.

I would humbly ask that any members of the City take pity on a poor down-at-luck Journalist trying to stake his claim on a rather amusing story about why the Overgoat has one horn larger than the other.
For this, I have need of a reputation, and due to an unfortunate incident involving the dislodging of warm amber in the vicinity of the Duchess, I have had to hide my notability.
For the chance to redeem my totally non-furnished name in Slowcake’s, I would be willing to furnish the recipient with the best seats in the house - whichever house I would be presently incarcerated in.

I would welcome any kind soul willing to recommend me to Slowcake’s Amanuensis, since I myself had no luck in this regard.

EDIT: FINALLY!!! Woooohooo. Got the card today at last.
I have certainly messed things up more than a bit over here; I’ve become suddenly even more renowned for my brilliance, but less popular! (I accidentally clicked the option… grrrr. 9 Notability gone)
