[li]My apologies if this is not the correct forum for the posting of my insignificant drivel, but having been inspired by recent events, I feel both compelled to create something of worth and disinclined to care overly much for societal niceties. My apologies to the readers if I do offend, and to the ancient Gabriel Petrus, whose own work I have been devouring of late.
Watchmaker’s Hill
When I did climb up on Watchmaker’s Hill
I could see the fallen city’s lights
A fearful wind was blowing, time stood still
Some horrid thing flew out of the night
The foetid beast was dreaded to observe
I came in close and I heard a voice
Standing and stretching every taut nerve
I had to listen. I had no choice.
I did not trust in the information
My rudely assaulted ears did hear
Just had to trust my imagination
My heart beating too loudly, I fear
Softly my companion said, ”Grab your things,
It’s time I’ve come to take you home."
