so SMEN (seeking mr eaten’s name) will come back but how many players are going to do it?
SMEN it’s a story that will lead your character to madness, destruction of body and soul and cannibalism seeking the name of the one that was eaten (if you want to know more on mr eaten check the i’m a candle blog)
sorry if i was vague but i haven’t played it because i joined a few months ago and i’m not english so sorry for any mistake, i hope that someone who has played it will be more specific
I WOULD DESTROY MY MIND AND BODY FOR THE MEREST HINT OF THE NAME
Sounds fun. I’ll either create an Alt, or do it after I finish everything else.
Man, I can’t WAIT until we get our hands on SMEN once again. I joined FL too late to experience it, but it sounds sooo deliciously evil and needlessly destructive - perfect for my character. Definitely gonna stick my fingers and other body parts in it when it comes.
maybe with SMEN will come the opportunity to go to NORTH (that is actually present in the choices of the southern arcipelago just not ready yet) or maybe it’ll come with the dilmun club
Well, for me it’d just be continuing what I started, and I’m nothing if not steadfast.
i think that it will reset because some parts will be changed but i’m not sure
Not so sure… I’m reaaaaally interested in SMEN content, it’s by far the best content I’ve read in FL, dark, emotional, disturbing, mysterious, touching at the deepest and most dreadful parts of human personality.
But… I lost them. I lost them all except one… not sure I’ll have the strength and courage to get them back…
I wanted to do the SMEN content but that was before I realized how much permanent damage it would cause my character and her hoard of items.
I’m tempted, but I’m also hesitant. I’ve grown fond of her curiosities and her generally untainted body.
Damn! I will create a alt for this. Like Kolanowski, I joined to late. But I think it should be fun.[li]
i’m probably going to do with my main character, it fits with him and i think that doing it with your character it’s funnier than doing it with the alt
The Name promises nothing but pain and suffering.
But Wilhelm entered the neath in pursuit of his own reckoning, how could he deny another the same?
And with what he has done perhaps Wilhelm deserves the pain and suffering.
I wish to Seek the Name.
Seeking is something wholly unique and awful, and I’ve wanted a part of that dark beauty since I learned about its existence. Well, about a week afterwards. At first I thought it was too unnecessary and too scary. Then I realized unnecessary and scary sounded so very, very, interesting. I’ve been readying myself since then, and I’m sitting at endgame now. I want to choose Torment. I want to have that choice.
Edit: The name "The Marked Lyricist" was partly because of my character’s large amount of scars, but was also chosen with the idea that it would be perfectly fitting when her soul, mind, and body were so very marked from seeking.

An interesting tidbit from the SMEN days:
Around 0.1% of the registered player base. We like to think of it as ‘hardcore mode’, except that hardcore mode in most games doesn’t end nearly this badly.[/quote]
I sure won’t destroy my main character for Mr Eaten but would maybe create an alt for this purpose…

I wouldn’t want to throw away my main character. Also my main is all about enjoyment and fun, he wouldn’t do that much of harmfull things to himself. But I, as a player, am curious so I will probably try it with an alt.
I have a character whom I want to do this to SO BADLY. SO. BADLY. She’s my horrible, horrible broken evil character and I want to mess her up so badly. I got excited a while ago when I found out that I could stain her soul – and then I realized that it was unavailable content, and I was tremendously disappointed. I don’t think I could do seek Mr. Eaten’s name with KShep, though…

I’m inclined to agree - but I’ll almost certainly play it on an alt, even if I don’t decide to do it on my main.
I would never do SMEN with my main character. On the other hand, my alt had embarked on the beginning of that path before the content freeze, and she’s the type that would stumble into that type of madness…Probably I’d proceed with it with my alt if SMEN reactivates.
