Selling the Location [minor spoilers?]

As far as I am aware, I can sell the of location of the Nadir to one of four parties (and still be able to enter it at any time). Which is the most profitable option?

Revolutionaries, since the item you get cost more Echoes to make through conversions from Bottles of Fourth City Airag. The Great Game item is worth as many Echoes, but can be gotten for 3200 scraps. Though the difference between these two doesn’t matter if you intend to sell the item for cash.

The Revolutionaries and Great Game offer items worth £1562.50. The Urchins and Hell offer items worth £312.50. I don’t know if the reward values for Hell or the Great Game changed with their recent conversions to favors. Selling the location also changes your Closest To quality, FYI.

I see. Which one out of the Great Game and The Revolutionaries has a higher value if I don’t intend to sell it for echoes?

As Gillsing said, the Revolutionaries reward is harder to get by other means. Aisde from that… define “value.” If you don’t intend to sell them that’s entirely up to you.

The Revolutionaries item can be used for a (what used to be) once a year turn-in to get another even rarer item. Which has no in-game use.

Otherwise none of them currently have an in-game use, except possibly in Seeking, which I’m not up to speed on.

None of the items are useful in any standard way. They don’t give you opportunity cards or open up anything interesting in storylets. They’re primarily bragging-rights/completionist rewards. So the value is entirely arbitrary and up to you.

I would love it if FBG decided to add some mechanical heft to the unusual Nadir and Relicker rewards, but I certainly don’t anticipate it.

Some of the reward items can be spent to upgrade 4 card lodgings into 5 card lodgings. However, you can do the same thing at Christmas for much much cheaper if you’re willing to wait. Barring that, the items are mostly just collectibles or a windfall of echoes.

As is, I’d say give the Nadir to the faction you trust most with that information. It’s a permanent choice, and although it has no effect now, who knows if your decision will have narrative consequences in the future.

I trust the Great Game spies the most, but the revolutionaries’ item seems more valuable. Argh.

If you can get hold of five Tears of the Bazaar without converting seven Airag for one Tears of the Bazaar, the value between the two is negligible. That’s how I got the ‘even rarer item’ without selling the location to anyone. But then you’d be out five Tears of the Bazaar, which also have their uses.

I was unaware that &quottrust&quot and &quotGreat Game&quot fit in the same sentence.

The Great Game isn’t really a faction. You can be sure that some within it already knows (I know of at least one individual who does), and that somebody within it will trumpet the secret from the rooftops, should they be afforded the opportunity. Unlike the Revolutionaries, however, they’re unlikely to use what they find there to destroy any significant part of reality. In my opinion.

There’s an in game use for the GG it for Heart’s Desire. But you should instead use the provided purchase option which is significantly cheaper.

Screw it, I’m selling it to the Revolutionaries.
