Seeking Mr Eaten's name

Oh, right.

Well that basically means you need an Overgoat. Any option to gain additional Fluke-Cores will likely be in the ludicrously expensive range.

Ah, apparently my Vita is better than my computer when it comes to seeing SMEN screenshots - I just got to see the fun I’m in store for St. Cerise’s candle~ 7 Fluke-Cores is probably the answer simply because it’s presently impossible as far as we know.

That card is available again - I was just about to come here to ask why I drew that card with one fluke core. [li]

Well, 175 (or 150 if you have a Core already) Diaries of the Dead is cheaper than an Overgoat. Not by much, though.

Well, goodbye Dangerous 203 - time for Delmar to make regular trips to the Nadir again. I knew I’d lose you in the end.

Is there a Seeking lock on the fluke core card? That’s a lot of echoes down the drain if fluke cores no longer thin your Nadir deck…

How exactly does one lose lodgings while seeking the name? Likewise, are all lodgings at risk?

It was one thing you could choose to give up to get St Beau’s candle. Your Lodgings, your Connections, or some Fate. The Fate was a set cost, while lodgings and connections were totally eliminated.

So it’s not just me. I had to disable it temporarily to view the image.

Also, seven Fluke-cores, jesus. It may be cheaper than an Overgoat, but the sheer length of time required… the mind boggles.

I don’t know if anyone has posted this, but “from the mouths of children” still only increases nightmares.

The Fate said it would give up your Destiny but that was before Destinies were implemented - it might very well reset that now.

It didn’t reset Destinies in that brief span of time when Seeking overlapped with the existence of the Destiny slot; no guarantee that it doesn’t change anything now, though.

There is a madness in me that yearns to seek just long enough to destroy my lodgings, so i can get rid of the useless ones. There are optimization instincts in me that are near as mad as seeking.

This is undoubtedly a terrible idea that is not worth it, but… the temptation persists. Waiting for evidence that there’ll be a way to opt back in in time, that it’s not a one-shot or never storyline, but instead a one-shot, with extra reqs to go back again, and losing all progress at the time.

(Also, unless seeking added a source for them, how would you get 7 fluke cores?)
I see I’m not the only one who wants to get rid of cheaper lodgings. I have a Rooftop Shack but I really don’t want to go back to prison to ensure I start benefiting from it.

A certain cave will get you the Fluke-Cores, I think. It’s probably an incredibly tedious process, because you have to convert a lot of stuff, which means large quantities of money will probably be required anyway.
Cheaper lodgings? I want to lose the expensive ones most! I’d get: 1 lodgings @ bazaar, 1 lodgings @ smoky flophouse, 1 lodgings @ rooftop shack. Everything else isn’t worth it if uninterested in scraps. I might not get the shack either, depending on how they convert revolutionaries to favors. this removes (32) [brass embassy, royal beth, handsome townhouse] + (51) [bookshop, steamer, cottage, marshes, gambling den].

In short, while it’d be incredibly expensive in the short run, [625 echoes of bazaar permits], it would remove 11 cards from my deck, at the cost of 1 card-slot until christmas and seeking the name for a time. Not that much worse, therefore, than the plant storyline.

(The nadir card you’re refering to locks at 1 fluke-core. How do you aquire the other 6 is the question.)

The Nadir card is confirmed as no longer locking with possession of a Fluke-core.

Also, why get lodgings at the Flophouse, or did you mean you might not get that one depending on the Revolutionaries conversion? The Rooftop Shack is pretty unambiguously excellent. (I’d also probably get the Royal Beth rooms again since as a Spirifer the souls option is great. My real concern is whether it would remove the Marsh-House from the first ES, and losing the extremely profitable Half-Abandoned Mansion card.)

As someone who didn’t kill jack, if it converts for revolutionaries like criminals it’ll be a randomly selected choice between 1 revolutionaries favor, 1 criminals favor, or, on rare ‘success’, an aolean scream. Sure, as a scrap option it’s terrible, but I’m not using it as that. one favor for either faction is pretty good EpA. Every type of favor has had a >2.5 epa cash-in option on conflict cards.

Oh true, with two potential favours that’s pretty good.

Well, if i were cutting it at that price, i’d need to cut rooftop shack, as well- i mean, i’m more likely to make that one useless, really, what with the secrets framed in gold, and it’ll either be 1 favor per action on average or 1 favor per action period, either of which is at least 2.5 epa.

The Rooftop Shack is excellent, though admittedly I did do SFiG and pay to reacquaint myself. It’s 2.7? echoes of wine which is unambiguously good.

Any chance of someone able to see Alexis’s last post putting it up in a format that doesn’t make my AV software go berserk? I mean, I know Seeking The Name is supposed to have terrible effects, but I’d prefer they were limited to my FL persona instead of my computer…
