It looks like an emptiness has been extremely busy. One of the threads in the Singing Mandrake was emptied and then disappeared entirely.
I dont think it’s been deleted, just retitled to “nothing good will come of this”. Unless another thread got devoured while I wasn’t looking.
It definitely got retitled, but now it’s not showing up anymore in the Mandrake. I’ve got the page open in another tab and can reload it, but I can’t seem to add a reply to it.
Seems to be completely gone for me too. There’s another devoured thread in there as well: The well is never dry.

No replies; and it’s showing up out of chronological order (right now it’s back on p. 3). Another one has been retitled “The well is never dry.”
As far as I can tell these were recruitment threads not information threads, which seems a little backwards to me, frankly.
I can still get to it on my phone by opening the list of all my posts from my profile and clicking on one of the edited posts. But it does seem to be gone from the Mandrake. Mysterious!
I tried posting on it shortly after Mr Eaten said ‘Forgotten’, and nothing showed up, so it’s probably gone. Very spooky. Guess Mr Eaten was hungry today.[li]

They’re both still around, but they’ve been emptied, retitled and buried on page 3 and 5 of the Singing Mandrake. (The Well Is Never Dry. and Nothing Good Will Come Of This.)
The replies are all still there for me. Except they all say "I have forgotten" for fifteen pages, which is more than a little terrifying
I tried posting in the thread after the emptiness posted as well, but it didn’t actually show up. I assumed it had been snipe-deleted, but maybe the thread is locked but the mobile browser doesn’t recognize that. Or… something.

No, I’ve got the same thing. The thread isn’t locked, but any posts you make just vanish instantly. Honestly, it’s creepier than being locked. And ever so fitting.

Yeah the sixteenth page is more of a classical Emptiness manifestation, with posts being warped into laconically ominous phrases roughly themed on the post’s original content. Hence why I said fifteen pages of forgetting and not sixteen. :v

I’m going to miss that thread - there were a lot of posts on it that I liked. Also, it was where I began my search! But then again, it is the fate of such things to end in dust. Echoes.
I briefly toyed with the idea of posting an attempt to hug Mr Eaten while he was there, but I ultimately decided against it. That was probably for the best.

Maybe the E/F candle can be gotten by unleashing the wrath of the emptiness on the forum?
I want an attack in fallen london that lets me send emptiness to hurt someone by devouring their stats.
