Seeking alpha testers for cyberpunk role playing

well, the game’s just topped 700 hours of development time and is looking really quite large now. There’s new content all the time, including the just released “World of Pain” update: take specific injuries, deal with pain and blood loss, use a wide range of medical supplies, from blood plasma and basic first aid kits to nano-machine powered medipaks and biomechanical sutures.

Still got a few spots for alpha testers, if anyone’s interested!

Another week, another big content release! Pimps and Prostitutes: deal with a major personality conflict between two of your associates that’s rapidly headed towards bloodshed (possibly your own).

If you’d like to test the game, I figure that there are a couple of spots free still. If you do want to though, committing to ongoing play (rather than just a session or two) would be much appreciate, although even just a quick play test is useful.

Some recent comments about the game too:

Wow, this storyline is intense!

Stalking squats now, bleary-eyed and in a trance-haze of hard drugs and mental trauma, stumbling over still warm meatcoffers the organ- burners will pay me soft coin for. A game that encourages me to do this kind of thing deserves all kinds of praise.

The game is very cool. I’ve been having a blast playing it. I have only good things to say about the writing, and the mechanics are well thought out.

Do you still have a free spot? I suddenly wanted to get a fix of some cyberpunk rpg.

Aye, it happens. I’ll send you a PM.

Thanks.

More testers are still welcome! New content includes the ability to fight gang wars in the slums - bloody and brutal.

The game keeps growing and growing - more war, more pain and injuries, more cybernetic implants. We now have some completely original and custom art for the game too - meet Ann, Zane (her pimp) and a couple of useful pieces of hardware:

New testers aren’t really required any more, but if you’d like to have a go we might be able to make a little more room…

I’d like to test please, if you still have any slots! It looks awesome. I think the only other story with custom art is Below? You’ve clearly put a lot of effort into this. If there’s no more, when’s it going to open to beta?

Thanks! There has indeed been quite a lot of effort - over 800 hours, so far, not including art. I think Cryptic Stitching has custom art too, although that matches StoryNexus’ native style.

Anyway, I’ll send you a private message with the link. As far as time scales go, the current plan is to do a full public release early next year. I keep calling it alpha at the moment, but really it’s a closed beta. There’s a lot of content still to add (well, that will never finish really), but the fundamentals of the game are there.

How do you chase after someone who has robbed you? Been looking for the option for sometime but no luck finding it.

Hi - thanks for the question; I’ll reply via private message.

Is it possible to introduce more branches to deal with pursuers during a chase? I felt at the mercy of the RNG most of the time during the ordeal.

Sure, I’ve been tweaking that quite a bit. It used to be much too easy and now perhaps it’s too hard. It does depend on your character and the quality of the people chasing you too - some of them are far easier to escape than others! Thanks for the feedback.

Hi, If you’re still looking for testers i’d love to participate :)

Thanks! I’ll reply by PM.

Why must we have 4 fresh organs in order to be able to deliver to the back clinic? Doesn’t make sense to me. And maybe tell us how many organs we would get from buying? Kinda annoyed that I only get 2 fresh organs from buying and worse can’t deliver them.

Hey, thanks for the feedback; I’ll reply via PM.

I would like to playtest this; it sounds very interesting! :)

Thanks, I’ll send you the link via PM.

Hi,
I’ve been playing story nexus games for a while, haven’t gotten very far in FL but I have played a bit of Zero Summer, or whatever that interesting western was called.
Anyway, I’d like to playtest this game.[li]
